Karri!

Just happened to catch the little message on the other board about the threaded version. *You should post there about this cause I would not have caught it had I not been just looking in the right place! *AND if you HAVE already! Shameonme for missing....*hangs head in shame*

Wanted to say...THANKYOU for this! And all the hard work I know you do on things like this. *You've given me a fun new home with fun new friends and words can't really express what that *means to me at times! *In other words....sometimes netfriends are much better and dearer and funner to be around then the real mc-coy friends! *And I always appreciate a place that helps me make new ones!

Hope that wasn't too mushy.....
if it was

OH WELL!!!
lol

We had a few requests from both posters and VIPs so we decided to give it a try and see how it went. :)

You are welcome, glad you enjoy the board. :)

thanks for that explaination. makes total sense ;D

i think it will be good for various reasons,
plus it could be home to various threads concerning specific actors, writers, producers.
the possibilities are endless. ;)

I think I'll stay mostly with the linear board, but I'll be checking this one out periodically...

Awesome job!

I am a betting man and I think the threaded board definitely was made for the people who prefer this way of message boards but my bet goes on the fact that this will cut down on the "Chit-Chat" that happens on the linear section. People should not be just chatting on the linear section. This will eventually alleviate the problem of people chatting on the linear page. Good work Karri. ;D One last thing Karri, if you can add the names of the V.I.P. people to the spell check so the names do not need to be ignored for changes each time. Once again, great work.

Oh thank goodness! A threaded message board! I love the linear message board, but most of the time I'm only able to perform 'drive-by' posting and miss a lot of the conversation. This will help me to hopefully catch the important things.

Thanks for all the hard work to everyone involved in this site.

wow this IS awesome...I prefer threaded on the weekends...but linear at work.....cuz it's quicker and doesn't take up much time....

My only complaint is that I'll NEVER be able to keep up with both!!!!!!

Hopefully.* They like the linear but also wanted a place where they could have questions directed to them and they could answer the questions with out having to search through everything to find them.* So we will give it a shot and see how it works. :)

I will see if we can add cutom words to the dictionary.* It is part of the core server packages and that is Artie's territory so we will have to look into it.* :)

At first I was a bit hesitant about a threaded board, but this one is well organized, and has some very nice tools. Thanks Karri and Artie. It's a nice companion to the linear part.

Boy, oh, boy...we're right uptown here now. I'll have to watch my manners in this fancy place.** :o Veeeeery nice work, and lots of it. Thanks.* :) Fun icons, too. OK, having a little trouble with the icons, but everyone knows I'm a slow learner. Dang, looks like I'll have to read the instructions.

you think?* i dunno. i'm guilty of chit-chat, and i detest threaded forums... i've a feeling many people used to the linear forum at the Bronze:Beta will use The Fuselage in much the same manner.

then again, maybe all the chit-chat is due in large part to the fact that we've not had any new topicy-goodness in so long.* new show = endless possibilities for topics.

um... babbling.* yeah.* i'll stop now.

ooh, look at all the nifty auto-formatting stuff.* isn't that handy?

Karri, you and Artie rock.*

Karri,

I like this format so much better. I was brought straight into the threaded board when I put in www.thefuselage.com today. It sounds like the old board will still be up also. Do you guys plan on maintaining both or eventually weeding out the old one? Just curious. Thanks for all your hard work.

*please* keep linear too.* i'm lost in threads.* although they're fun to read and interact in, i'm a linear girl.

Thanks for the threaded board. Not being a Bronzer my only experience is with the ABC LOST Main Community Message Boards which are threaded. I'm getting used to the linear, but threaded is great too.

Do you think there will ever be any way to have a "coming attractions" or "Warning Fury Ahead" kind of thing so we can be on-line when they are. I hate it when I come to the site and review the messages only to find that Fury was here for ten minutes an hour before. Also, any news on when we can expect to hear from the actors?

You people rock! Keep up the great work. I hope JJA knows what a vital part you play in the link between the fans and the show. There are a lot of us out here who have lurked for a long time, so you don't really know how many of us are out here.

Hello great idea here...

Im very much used to threaded forums as opposed to linear ones. I lurked at the Bronze quite a bit but was always kind of put off by the linear format.

Plus its much more organized...and its easier to ask VIP questions and get instant access to the answers.

You did? It shouldn't have done that. There are links to the threaded on the main page but the usual linear board should be the page you hit first. Both boards are staying. :)

I doubt we will have a scheduled time for VIPs to be here. They tend to pop in when they have free time which cane be anytime day or night. :) But Wednesdays after the new eps is a good bet for hanging around for a possible VIP sighting. I haven't heard when the actors might stop by, I will let you know when i do. :)

Thanks for the props, glad you are enjoying. :)

Savemeimdtba : all you have to do is go to the top of any page in the threaded board and hit the home button and this button will take you to the linear page. Have fun.

What did you do to go straight to the threaded section? Was there a link somewhere that you clicked on and what did you see when you got there?

I came to the linear board, when I put in the URL, but was thrilled to see the threaded one. I haven't totally given up on the linear board yet, but it seems like it would be awfully hard to keep up with.

Yes, it was a link I believe. I figured it all out now :) just take the "/threaded" off the end of the URL and it takes me to the Linear board. Sorry about the confusion! It was all relatively new to me.
