Just saw this news on a Survivor board and have been trying to track down information. Apparently, season 16 (potentially the last) will return to Palau and will feature 20 contestants from seasons 9-15. Supposedly, it will not include any former winners. However, the show is currently filming and so the finalists from China actually have no idea if they won or not (and we don't even know who they are!).

Please note on this casting list that various people are commenting that some of members are incorrect, but I think we have a good rough idea of who will be there.

From Survivor 9: Vanuatu: Julie Berry (5th place finish, Jeff Probst's love interest? Hmmm), Eliza Orlins - 4th place, Ami Cusack - 6th place finish.
From Survivor 10: Palau: Katie Gallagher - finished 2nd, Ian the Dolphin Trainer Dude Rosenberger - finished 3rd, Jenn Lyon - 4th place, Coby Archa - finished 9th.
From Survivor 11: Guatemala: Fishmonger Lydia Morales - finished 4th, doorman Judd Sergeant IV - finished 6th, Gary Ex-Dallas Cowboy Hogeboom - finished 7th.
From Survivor 12: Panama: Terry Dietz - finished 3rd, Cirie Fields - finished 4th, Shane Powers - finished 5th. (Please let Shane not be there, I beg of you!)
From Survivor 13: Cook Islands: Ozzy Lusth (yay!) - finished 2nd, Parvati Shallow (boo) - finished 6th, Jonathan Penner - finished 7th.
From Survivor 14: Fiji: Yau-Man Chan (but I knew that) - finished 4th, Michelle Yi - finished 10th.
From Survivor 15: China: Courtney Yates (don't yell at me, I'm just the messenger) and James Clement. From: http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/11/01/whats-on-the-plate-for-next-seasons-survivor/

Well, it is official. Survivor 16 features 10 superfans vs. 10 returning players. Here is the rundown of returners:

The 10 returning castaways serving as Survivor: Micronesia's "Favorites" will be Survivor: Pearl Islands' Jon "Jonny Fairplay" Dalton; Survivor: Vanuatu's Eliza Orlins and Amy Cusack; Survivor: Panama's Cirie Fields; Survivor: Cook Islands' Jonathan Penner, Ozzy Lusth and Parvati Shallow; Survivor: Fiji's Yau-Man Chan; and Survivor: China's Amanda Kimmel and James Clement, Entertainment Weekly reported (http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20168991,00.html) Wednesday.

The show debuts already on February 7.

I saw this earlier, and would just like to comment how ridiculously pleased i am that jonny fairplay is back, he is definitely up there on the most interesting characters list

Hey Gus, thanks for giving me someone to talk to about this! Not sure what I think of having Johny back. I'm all for Survivor villains, manipulations, all that. So while I found his strategy interesting, his personality was also rather annoying. I wasn't sorry when he lost, that's for sure.

I'm very excited about this season. For returners, I'm most excited about Ozzy, Yau-man, Jonathan and Ami.

Shane? Ech, he might have been entertaining, but he was so not a good player.

I think they repeat locations when they have good relations with the local government and it looks pretty on TV.

I know this will dbl post but I just found out that one of the newbies lives about ten miles from me!!! Chet is from Ford City and that's "right down the road" This will make it even more fun for me even though I don't know him.

It didn't auto-merge .

Yeah, it won't automerge if there is a long time between posts. Actually, that's a good thing, because otherwise the thread won't pop up as having a new thread.

It's very cool news too wanders. I hope you get some extra local insight to share with us!

Well, I can but try but I think they are sworn to secrecy. I know the local paper had a write up and I was surprised at the length of time it took him to get picked. It was over a year I think. Endless phone interviews and trips to LA. If I can find a link from the article I'll try to post it.
