Tickets are selling fast for the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Hamlet staring David Tennant in the title role and Patrick Stewart as Claudius. The season, which runs from 24 July until 15 November 2008, at the Courtyard Theatre, is almost sold out before rehearsals have even begun. The website seatchoice.com reports that the show is the fourth hottest ticket in the United Kingdom, beating West End blockbusters such as Hairspray. Hamlet...

:24: this amuses me to no end. with a side of DUH! as soon as it was announced we got our Hamlet tickets....LAST year. :hypocrit: like they didn't think the popularity of DT combined with Hamlet would boost sales. the bonus for me is that Stewart will be in the play as well...but i am mainly going for DT < /shallow >

I am there for DT but a big part is for Patrick too...omg. He is flipping amazing...I have seen the John Barton videos and he is sooooooo young looking and sooooo good in them.

Just itching to go!!!

I thought it IS sold out for weeks already?? Or are they counting standing tickets?

i have no idea what they are counting. :eek2: one of my other friends tried to get tickets for Hamlet and was told there was only standing left, BUT she did manage to find a seated one a few days later but for a date in Sept not when we are going in Oct. the tickets for LLL are still available AFAIK.

yeah, maybe. :biggrin: i was just looking at Craigslist in the UK and saw a few for sale but alas not on the date we need. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean one won't show up there. :71: yes i am ever hopeful b/c i really want the other triple to see this with us. ;)
