I remember one of the reasons I didn't watch the 1st season was that it was up against X-Files. Even though Alias was sorely pounding the crap out of a tired, David Duchovny-less show, I still watched that out of loyalty, but I always felt like I was probably missing something.

I know my brother has the 1st two seasons on DVD...I should scam them from him sometime...

I loved x-files... stopped watching it shortly after Mulder left... didn't like doggert or what ever his name was... and really didn't like Scully changing from a non-believer to a believer... just didn't work for me... watch the couple eppies where Mulder came back and stuff... but didn't watch all the time

I actually did like Doggett (or is that Hibbs now!). More to the point, I think Robert Patrick is a great actor, so I was a little more receptive to his presence, but not necesarily as a Mulder replacement. I thought Scully generally got dumb after Mulder left. Still, the thing that made the show for me was the Duchovny wit-some of those comments he threw out at certain points were just priceless.

That last season, if anyone really watched it, was really on fumes. The final episode was very disappointing. The show really ran it's course after 5-6 years and never should have been in a position to have to replace Mulder.

I agree that it should have ended long before it did...

I didn't mind Doggett or the actor who played him rather... I think he was quite good... but I didn't like the whole situation... he came in as kinda a Scully replacement and Scully became the Mulder replacement... and it just didn't work for me... and I agree about Scully seemingly to act or be dumber...

and Mulder did have some great lines... LOL

I actually didn't get into my office pool this year. I moved from one area to another, so I think they lost track of me and didn't set me up! Ah well, that's probably for the best since I usually do pretty poorly. Still, always bet on Gonzaga to go at least to the Sweet 16. I've found that out the hard way!

Beat UTEP yesterday! Woo Hoo (barely) some tense moments for me during that game!

After that I like Gonzaga and Kentucky and Michigan.

We all put $5 in and 20 people are in this. I haven't ever won before but I've came awfully close a few times. :-\

Michigan is defintely my team (I'm an alumni). Of course, this year didn't quite go so well for us b-ball wise. I'm actually watching the college hockey playoffs as well, which usually goes pretty well for us!

Oakland U was kind of our underdog school. That's a small school about 20 minutes from where I live. It was cool to see them actually get into the tournament, not that they stood a chance against NC. I think Illinois is the team this year. They're just too damn good.

I had Gonzaga winning it all, so I can pretty much throw away my sheet now, unless Texas Tech somehow wins it all.

He's promoting a new movie he wrote and directed which also stars Robin Williams and (surprise) Tea Leoni, so he's writing a little blog as a promotion of the movie. Don't have the link in front of me atm. It's pretty cool to see him do such a thing. He seems like he's getting more comfortable at it and that Duchovny wit is starting to show in the entries.
