Dear Ian Sumerhalder,

I would just like to take a moment to congratulate you on the fantastic work you have done on Lost. The scenes that you and Terry O'Quinn shared were among the best of the show. I think you should know- when the show began, I wasn't all that fond of Boone, but as the series progressed, he became a personal favorite of mine, just because he always wanted to help and never gave up, even when things didn't quite work out for him. You brought a lot of heart to the character, and I'm not (too) embarrassed to admit that I shed a tear when he asked Jack to let him go. Even my four-year-old nephew gave me a hug and told me "not to be sad because "Boom" died." (After the show, that is. He didn't watch it. Too violent).
Anyway, I'm sure this will all get lost in the VP section, as everyone is probably writing you tonight (I'm sure I'm echoing the sentiments of many others). If you see it, however, know that I am forever your fan and will keep my eye out for any of your future projects.
