so yeah, one of my twins talked me into rewatching this series with her. nevermind that she is in Germany, :wavey: Majandra, and i am in the US. :71:

i really loved this show when it was on. it introduced me to online fandom, shipping wars and other shows (b/c the shows aired after Roswell). it was a good time.

that said, i am having trouble with this show's continuity. i think Lost and other shows have gotten better at this pesky thing. ;)

i am still enjoying the rather simple storylines and very very slow plot development. amazing how rewatching something almost 10yrs later can change some things and yet other things stay the same.

still LOVE Max. mmm, Max. Future Max. yes! i have a soft spot for angsty emo leading men. i think i need help. LOL

Max and Liz. yes! though Liz is just annoying at times.

always LOVED Maria and Michael. Maria especially. took me a while to LIKE Michael but in the end he was one of my favs.

same with Kyle. didn't like him much in S1 but by S2 and Tess, i was all...yay! Kyle and Tess but of course i never get my way.

still HATE Tess. nothing against Emilie, who of course went on to LOST. still it was her role on Roswell that she had to overcome for me.

Sheriff Valenti. he really became the "father" figure to them all.

i am only up to the start of S2. i remember the basic stories but this rewatch has been fun to try to recapture the excitement i had for this show. has anyone else dragged out their tapes (yes i recorded the whole thing) or their DVDs recently?

trivia time: b/c i am a geek and read the credits...guess who i noticed worked on this show? go on, guess? one of the more "popular" scifi shows out there currently. :biggrin: i am shocked to see his name...and his current partner in crime in the listings on IMDB.

Ronald D. Moore of BSG fame along with David Eck. i am just to amazed at the moment to process this info. i think the comment "no frakking way" did just come out of my mouth when i saw Moore's name in the credits.

it's funny how you mention that liz is annoying. whenever i see her on screen somewhere else, she's really just the same. i would have to say the pilot of roswell was just the best. max and liz really connected.

i loved loved loved michael right from the beginning. mysterious, hot and bad! this was a show that i was really sad to see go. so sad that i really never watched any reruns or bought the dvds. it will be like when lost goes. it will take a while to get use to the idea that it's just not going to be on tv anymore!:sadwalk:

yes, Max in the good and bad and the ohnotheydidn'tjustdothat. still get excited when i hear Jason Behr's named mentioned as being in something, though he is not really in the mainstream these days. he is STILL quite HOT. a friend of mine had the fortune to meet him and have his arms around her. *sigh*

ah, Liz. Shiri is joining the cast of ER. she looks the same and i guess her character may be too. maybe it is Liz all grown up and having a Dr degree but less aliens. bwahaha

i do recommend rewatching if you get the chance. FYI HuLu has all of season one online. that may just rekindle your love. :biggrin: FWIW, i was very ticked off how the WB, then UPN treated this show and promoted Smallville (including stealing one of their theme songs IIRC) instead of Roswell. at least we got some closure when the series was going off air. that made things a bit better.

that was one of the best scenes. colin did it very well. and max and isabel's reactions were awesome. it must have been fun to be in that cast. i think they were all friends and liked hanging out. although, i have read that katherine was kind of a diva, like she still is;). but my life had forever changed when that show came on the air. my sister has a major love for jason. i think she has the dvds and most of the movies he's been in.

wouldn't it be great if he could get a series, all grown up! mmmmmm:drool:

Btw I was watching this when I left you that offline with "Alex is cracking me up". Colin looks so much like his father sometimes, it's freaky. And with Tom being all serious actor now, it is hard to imagine (and to remember) that he too played some goofy characters and did some crazy stuff when he was younger. "Bachelor Party" just must be named in this context. ;)
