I finally watched this movie after hearing they might be working on a prequel. I did not like it. I mean They killed the dog!!! I don't care how many people die, you don't kill the dog. and it was so dang depressing. Not really interested in a prequel now. :undecide:

I'm with you, Karri! I was disappointed as, the dog was the BEST character in it. I also didn't like the ending, and the storyline bored me. I have not seen the Alternate ending and stuff on the dvd though.

OMG I totally feel the same about watching poor Sam die :( It was just too horrifying. But I liked the story, sans that thing.

Yes, that was sad. For me, I still have nightmares about

Seeing his wife and daughter killed. For me that would be the worst!!

One of my favorite movie.

I personally thought the movie was fantastic..... realism at its very best.... its supposed to be depressing that's the point. LOL

(The dog scene wasn't that Bad IMO... maybe its a girl thing)

(If you'd seen some of the stuff that gets aired in the UK you'd know what sick really is LOL)

That's how I feel about every single film I see! EXACTLY.

Anyway, the movie was great up until the event you mentioned in spoiler font; after that, it went downhill fast. I read the book, and it was merely OK.
