Is anyone with me when I say/hope that some minor plots come back to "haunt" us in a good way which will reveal key info into the storyline.
e.g. the infamous black smoke, but what I am interested in is the Polar Bear. It may be a complete waste of time, but does anyone think that Charlotte finding the Polar Bear in the Desert with the Dharma collar has anything to do with anything? It will be interesting to see if any of these minute details will come into play in the final few seasons of lost. Please feel free to give me some ideas....

I believe it will be touched on more (polar bear, etc) especially with the island moving or having had moved.

I want the following to come back:
-Adam and Eve
-Polar Bears
-numbers
-whispers
Of course, I can enjoy the show without these mysteries being resolved, but it would be awesome to know that tptb had the answers and a plan all along.

I think Dharma has nothing more to do with the whole story than a way to get people on the island to choose from to join the Others. We will find that the islands mysteries were there long before Dharma. At least the mysteries that I want answered.
What or who is the smoke monster?
What is it protecting?
Who or what are the Others? (the original inhabitants of the island)
What is the Others agenda?
How can a turn of a wheel make an island disappear?

Dharma's, I believe, only reason for being there was to study the special qualities of the island, particularly whatever the heck is allowing some sort of time/place travel. The bears (and rabbits) where simply the mice in the experiment.

I believe that Dharma was training the Polar Bears to turn the Donkey Wheel so the island could be moved without having someone teleport off the island to a different time/location. One Polar Bear ended up waaaaaay back in time and that bear was the skeleton that Charlotte saw. When Ben turned the wheel, he ended up in the Middle East about 10 months in the future.

Ben did say the results were unpredictable ...
What about the "frequent guest status" at the local hotel? Do you think Ben was totally bluffing, or was there some prior arrangement? When the episode aired, I took it to mean that Ben's group had a standing arrangement with the hotel because everyone who teleported arrived near there, and there should be a civilized place to stay ready and waiting. Which would mean the WHERE is set but the WHEN is somewhat random.

And the 'visions' of people who really shouldn't be alive on the Island.
I totally agree with you. Good authors tie up loose ends in creative ways and I'd love to see Lost given that same high-quality treatment. As you say - with a plan all along.
