both these episodes were so dense and convoluted that at the end i felt like nothing had even happened. (even though plenty did) in retrospect i think they shouldve just focused on either the Oceanic 6 or Sawyer and the rest of the people on the island. ..instead of jumping back and forth. it was like Slaughterhouse 5 on crack.

I 100% agree with you..
I had been looking forward to Lost for like what? A year?
I was really disappointed with both episodes.. Although I really liked Locke's journey throughtout the episodes...
But the rest was not good:(
It better be good the rest of the season.

I don't think anyone can say if they really liked or not.......... because nothing happened. The 1st episode was okay but this one was boring as hell.

Don't really want to say that I didn't like the episode because even the worst on 'Lost' is better than the best of most prime time tv.
But to be away for so long and to kick off the season with a Hurley centric episode. Whoa. I love the Hurl man but he's our comic relief.
In discussions around town on my expectations prior to the ...cast, I told many that I thought we were in for mind blowing revelations now that the writers were on their way to a conclusion. Boy was I wrong.
Now I'm left to think that the 'solving' of Lost will not happen till the butt naked last episode. That's disappointing. If they have to wait that long then the solution will ultimately be rather bland and simple.

By this time, I was hoping that the Hurley character would have wised up. He is still acting like he was in the first season. Kinda goofy and naive. Too trusting and gullible.
On the boat scene when he tells Sayid that in the future he wouldn't be there to help him, now that is the Hurley character standing up for himself. But, in the future, he seems to have regressed back to his season one stage.
After all that he has been through, you would think that he would be a lot more mature. Hope this changes in the rest of the season.
