Sorry if this is rehashing an previously discussed topic. I starting thinking this morning about something that Mrs. Hawking (Ms. if she isn't Faraday's mommy) said at the end of "The Lie": Ben only has 70 hours to have everyone in position to get back to the island.

Does this mean that Ben has less than 3 days to gather everyone and bring them to the point of entry back to the island?

I'd say so, that is assuming that they have a return route set in motion.

Then again, it could be that the island (or the losties) can survive 3 days of time skipping.

Well 70 hours could add up to 5 or 6 episodes, because we all know one day could carry 2 episodes alone. lol

I guess this means the Island cannot survive time travel that long, and everyone will perhaps die.

If they do it like the show "24" it could last 70 episodes. I don't think I would like the concept of having season five of completely "gathering the lost". I can see it as " O.K. I have Kate, now I lost Kate. I have Hugo, now I lost Hugo. I have Hugo, Kate and Jack, now I lost Jack, we have to get Jack again.

I'm forecasting that they will take about three more episodes. That will give them time to figure out how to get everybody to go and will also be able to shed some more light on what we missed over the last three years. I think it's also important because after that event window the island will be gone forever.

I assume the island at the very least can survive indefinitely in its current state. More than 70 hours anyway. Certain people it seems may be able to as well, although we currently see Charlotte in possible danger. I interpret Hawking as having found an Event Window in 70 hours rather to mean that they can intercept the island and get back on it at that point. If they miss, well, then things supposedly get interesting.

I'd hazard a guess that somewhere around episode 5-6 we'll see this occur. I cant decide if they'll get back on the island there or if we'll see the repercussions of "God help us all", getting back on the island somehow at a later point.

Good point. It will be interesting to know if the "God help us all" event happens if that is the course-correction for something else?!?

Wouldn't it be cool if every episode was based around 1 hour increments such as 24? It would be a rip off of another show, but I'd like to see it happen.

The losties time skipping is happening 3 years before.
