Ok, first let me say sorry if this has been addresed. But in the opening scene I swear I heard Rose say to bernard when he asked where she was, that she was "back at church". I even checked the transcript on Lostpedia and it had the same wording there. What is she talking about? Eko's church maybe? Anyone else catch this and wonder what it meant? It seemed quite odd, plus even if it was Eko's church, it is unfinished, and we've seen no sign of it for a long time now? any thoughts?

Yeah, I thought it was odd too. The church hasn't been mentioned, as far as I remember, since Eko's death. Weird.

My only thought is that I'm glad you brought this up because Charlie didn't seem to have any luck finishing the Church that Eko started. Maybe they finished it. Or maybe they just settle for it "as is" so they have something to signify a place of worship.

I could see them finishing it after Eko's death and after Charlie's death. It could be one of those off camera things that happen. Or as someone else said they could signify it as a place of worship. I mean with everything the losties have been through wouldn't you want to pray?

Rose was at the church before the donkey wheel turn and the burst of light, after the burst of light the church like the rest of the camp. Rose didn't mention that because like everyone she was confused as to what happened. I thought it was kind of obvious not everything needs to be spelled out.

John built his sweat lodge in the church. Maybe it is/was still there?

She definately said church and I assume it's the one eko started....

I think she just said it as a landmark. "I was back by the church when..."
