Sorry if this has already been posted, but I had a thought about the frozen donkey wheel, and how it might connect with the polar bears. It seems like the Dharma Initiative might have trained its polar bears to continually push the frozen donkey wheel to facilitate continuous (or more extensive) time travel for the island.

This would explain how Charlotte discovered the polar bear skeleton in Tunisia (which had a Dharma Initiative tag on its collar). When Charlotte discovered the skeleton, I believe she said it was 100,000 years old (correct me if I have the number of years wrong). Perhaps the island (or its inhabitants) travelled that far back in time?

This might also explain the Adam and Eve which Jack, Kate and Locke found in Season 1, although I note that Jack guessed that those skeletons appeared to have been there for approximately 40 years. Thoughts?

While I think polar bears working a wheel like that is a bit far fetched, the fact that it is frozen down there and the fact that both the bear and Ben ended up in the desert of Tunisia is pretty significant.

Maybe the Polar bear went first ? Kind of like the first monkey in space ? :)

Yes, far fetched in our reality, yet quite normal for Lost's reality, doncha think?

I think it's quite obvious that one Dharma bear turned the wheel. Possibly due to the "incident" or perhaps was the actual cause of the incident.
