Knowing what you know now about the fated flight, where would you sit on the plane?

i've always liked the window seat. and if we crash at least i'll be able to see where we're crashing!

I love the window seat! I get all moody if I can't have the window seat. Even in the car, I must sit near a window.

well ironically enough I"m DEATHLY afraid of Flying (yet my favorite show is LOST go Figure) but when I do fly I can HANDLE the window seat

Would you believe that in my 24 years of life, I have never flown in a plane for a trip?

I've never flown on a plane, but if I had to chose, the window seat.

I will always like to sit in an aisle seat. Must have room...must.

Window seats are good for the view (unless you're flying over an ocean. hm...)
But the aisle is good for the room.

I prefer the window seat, because I enjoy the view. Even if we're over the ocean, I can look at the sparkles :P

I love the window seat....so much to see!!!! But I hate the middle seat...no room!

I fly anywhere from 6-10 times a year.....I usually sit by the window, if they are taken then the aisle.

I'm also one of those jittery people when it comes to heights (yes, that includes being on a plane), so when I do fly I prefer an aisle seat. I'd rather not see how high up we go. Plus, I'm also claustrophobic, so I'd never be able to stand being in the middle or near the window. I got stuck once, and only once, sitting in a middle seat while I was flying home from Seattle with my mom. She had hurt her leg, and needed to be on the aisle. Someone else was near the window (full plane). Let me tell all of you, I nearly pulled out all my hair and almost clawed my eyes out. I do not like the feeling of being boxed in.

I prefer the window because I can use it for a pillow. The middle sucks and the last time I sat on the isle, people kept bumping me. One guy nearly fell into my lap, so I'll pass on the isle.

i know what you mean when i flew to london years ago i had to sit in the aisle, and the whole nine hour flight people kept bumping into me on the way to the bathroom, and i was trying to sleep. i didn't get a bit of sleep the entire flight (not to mention our first meal (we got two) the flight attendant forgot about my section and we didn't get our meal!)

btw I love Jonathan, a life cut too short, He would have had a great careet.

i enjoy being in the middle and fighting with the people on each side of me over the arm rests ::)

Im a window seat person... but i can handle sitting anywhere, i either sleep or read.. although, I usually always end up in a window seat over the wing. always! ;D

If I have to fly airline, Iorder my tickets early enough, usually, so I get an isle seat
and at the front row of a section so I have the most leg room.

I am deathly terrified of flying, even going to the airport to drop someone off or pick someone up is enough to give me an anxiety attack. I almost didn't go to Europe because of my fear!! It took alot of medication to get me there... :)
But I digress, I *prefer a window seat if I ever do have to fly.

I tend to avoid the isle seats. I've been knocked in the head a couple of times by people frantically trying to pull their carry-ons from the overhead compartments, I've had drinks dumped on me, and on over-night flights I inevitably end up sitting next to the one person who has go to the restroom every 5 minutes. If I have a choice, I take the window. ;D

for some reason i prefer the aisle... i can stretch out my legs a lot more and i don't have to bother climbing over people if i need to stand up and walk around or use the bathroom...

yes he would have, i miss him terribly. he had just finished doing two movies too.
what annoys me the most is how the media handled it and how the fans are responding, it makes me think a lot of them weren't true fans of his the way they're acting. there is a lot of negativity all around.

I'm also highly claustrophobic so it's aisle all the way for me. The last time I went on a flight I had put in my ticket that I needed an aisle seat. Well they fubared and gave me a middle seat. I explained my situtation to the guy at the gate and not only did he get me an aisle seat but it was in first class. :D Sometimes it does help to have a fit in a polite way.

I'm claustrophobic too. I need that aisle seat UNLESS I know the person that's sitting next to me; then I don't mind as much.

Window all the way. I love to fly and think it should always be employed if your destination necessitates you being in the car for more than three hours.

I prefer the window. I get bored easily, so looking out the window (even if all there's to see is a bunch of clouds) is a nice way to pass the time... daydreaming, of course.

The middle is the worst place to be! It makes me feel all claustrophobic. :P

i like the window... but then again i love aisle seats cuz i can get up faster and not have to trip over some weird people i dont know and when my dad would pick me up to go to his house he always made me sit in the aisle so i got used to it...

Travelling for business is fun. Since I go places that people don't want to go in the middle of the week, I usually get the window AND the aisle seats. :)

I wish my business travel would be that way. I'm always on really crowded planes, and the last one I was on smelled kind of funny. Then again, I work for a nonprofit org and we are always looking for the very cheapest flights... lol

:-[I am so ashamed to say that since my work started sending me on trips, it's always been on first-class! Reading this, I realised I had sort of forgotten that there IS a middle seat in coach in a real plane. I had no idea there was such a difference; I just thought it meant I got ramekins of heated nuts...I flew a lot as a child and teenager but I honestly don't remember there being a middle seat. I was pretty small, though, and didn't pay attention to a lot of stuff like that.
After that, my husband always blagged us an upgrade by telling them we were newlyweds on our honeymoon. He's good like that. :)
I ALWAYS have to sit next to the window, or I get really uneasy.

I definitely prefer Window over Aisle...any day. I don't sleep well on plane rides (not much anymore after Lost and reading Langolaires(sp?)), but I love seeing the land below. Its fun trying to guess what state your in and to see the sunrise/sunset.

Aisle - definately.

The last time we flew, I took the aisle, and my wife took the window seat, and no one took the seat between us. We got to spread out, on a flight that was mostly full!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was amused by the phrase. I think it's American Airlines, but in first-class they give out little ramekins of mixed nuts that have been microwaved, as if that were something to make up for the extra cost. I had to pretend to be a grown-up and not titter in a puerile manner in front of my boss when I was first offered said 'heated nut cup.' I thought it was the natural progression from the heated towel I'd been given earlier....

I am loving it! Heated nut cups! I have got to see that and believe me, I would laugh to no end if some one offered me a heated nut cup....first of all--they shouldserve the men two!

Aisle - I feel claustrophobic in the window seat. I haven't flown since 1998. Bad experience with turbulance left me less than impressed. Plus I changed jobs so I didn't have to travel anymore.

I'm going to be selfish and pull a Shannen and say both. :laugh: I want one of those small planes where there are only two seats on either side. Window or Aisle with no awful middle seat. My husband can be in the aisle in front or behind me and he's not picky so he doesn't care if he has two seats or not too. I just gotta be able to put my feet up. Thanks!! LOL

I looove window seats. If I didn't have a window seat, I wouldn't enjoy the trip; it would simply be a mechanism to get me from pt. A to pt. B. I love flying in the day and looking at all the various landscapes, I love flying while the sun sets and all the clouds are gorgeous warm shades, and I love flying in at night watching the city lights from an aerial view. I also like that you don't have anyone crawling over you to get to the aisle. Even though I fly fairly frequently, it's still a little magical and thrilling and it's all about the view ;D .

I think I will be taking a window seat, that way I can sleep more comfortably as the plane crashes.

I've never been in the middle section of a plane. That's because I ride airplanes with window or aisle seats. :P

I would have to rise the window, as I have said earlier....but who's going to buy me a ticket to come see them so I can say I flew?

As I recall, I flew all the way to Fort Gibson . . .

I prefer to be on the aisle seat and heavily sedated. Not a very good flyer. ;D

Here's the weird thing... if I fly during the day, I get airsick. :P

I like the window cause of all the pretty things to see, if I get bothered by it, I close the window ;D

I prefer window seats, I love the view. Especially at night, with all the city lights. And one time when I was flying at night, I could see lightning strikes outside the window. It was kinda scary...but kinda cool, too. :) I'm a bit claustrophobic though, so the aisle would offer more breathing room, but I guess the view is worth the discomfort to me.
