What did you think? Rate it and then discuss the good and the bad. :)

Hm, I liked everything about this episode except for the tank. I'm very tired of it. And the ending was annoying. But that's because I love Peter and Liv, not stupid John and her. I hope that this was a nice culmination of that plot line, that she can move forward from the John saga... Peter cares about her so much!

Absolutely a 10!

I admit I am also bringing my personal "feelings" into the equation here...I was pleased to see the "closure" on Olivia/John...*quiet sob*.

eta: Wondering if I see a connection between Sharp and what's-his-name, Olivia's "boss" slowly coming into view...

Man, if J.R. Orci is gonna come in here and give it a 10, now I feel guilty. ;)

Bri, were you happy about the Liv/John conclusion because it was sweet, or because (like me) you are ready for that to be over so she can move on?

I admit to being ready for her to move on. Peter is a hunk! But I also liked the sensitivity of the scenes and the connection, (yes, even if it takes a tank), between how people can hold together in their relationships to one another. I'm one of those people that believe that connections are still rolling around in the atmosphere even when people have passed. There is more to this life than meets the eye... If it takes using a tank to point it out, or make it more real/"scientific", go for it!

Yay for her moving on. But I hear the rest of what you are saying, too.

I think this is the first episode that actually brought the show into me. I started to identify with the characters, especially Olivia and John. I finally "cared" about them. I know the show is supposed to be all the "weirded" out stuff, but none of that means anything without character identification. I know, all those "kids" out there in TV land and their short gooey memory issues...gotta keep 'em happy. I'm selfish...write the show for me I say!!!

No one likes to think that their intuition was so wrong. Deep in your heart you know certain things are true or not. I liked that Astrid told Liv to trust her instinct.

The other thing, there's supposed to be something special about Olivia, if her intuition was so wrong about John Scott, how are we supposed trust her instincts as the show progresses?

Good point Sam.

I will grant that this is a very good point, but I wonder if there's another way to read it. People, even heroes like Olivia, are human and make mistakes. There's a part of me that almost wants to see that it was a true betrayal that she never saw coming, not because it invalidates all of her judgment, but because it makes the journey of a person with excellent judgment to overcome their one mistake. The stakes of a mistake that plays to your forte are higher, and that much more of an obstacle to get over.

Either way they go (it appears for now they're going with the happy, he really loved you route) it looks like finally some closure. That's good, characters living in the now are more interesting than those stuck with a foot in the past, unable to progress forward.

Overall, very well done. My one little nit-pick was that although the transformation scene was well done, the scene of the guy exploding out of the plane's restroom looked really cheesy for some reason. Otherwise, nice character interplay, some movement forward with tidbits about the mythology, and well acted pretty much all around.

I liked the way Olivia's choice of how to proceed was almost if not explicitly framed as a choice between trusting Peter or John, and I liked that Peter was given a chance to shine in some of his strengths (shady deals and conning folks) rather than just being a Jr. version of Walter (a sane version of Walter if you will)

Totally! It gives more insight into his character.

Great episode, it started a little crazy but then rounded out nicely.

I gave it a 9 - awesome episode, the tension throughout it was fantastic, particularly during the undercover scene. I loved how badass Liv was in this episode, I think Anna totally owns the character now. I particularly loved the scenes with John, they have fantastic chemistry together, I'm definitely gonna miss him. I took off a point for the Rachel/Ella stuff- it feels way too forced. I liked her sister in Bound, but she suddenly got way too happy-go-lucky in the past two episodes, considering something bad probably happened with Greg.

This was my favorite episode yet. I totally agree with Orci. ;) And thanks for posting here too, wow!

I found the John stuff to be good closure. Moving on now, with wonderful Peter. Yes, he was deliciously hunky in this episode.

Jennylee :biggrin:I don't think J.R.Orci gave it a 10, I think he was happy because someone else rated it a 10.

We very much enjoyed this one, although the whole plot line with the sister is a bit tiresome to me. I'm so glad I stuck with this show.
