...from last episode... does that mean the remainder of the passengers are also on the island?

No, I don't think we should assume that everyone on the plane is now on the Island.

We saw a bright flash of light, and Hurley said that he didn't remember a crash. They were just in one place (the plane) and then suddenly in another place (the Island).

Perhaps this is what was originally meant to happen to Flight 815--a flash of bright light and then a vanishing act by certain persons--but Desmond's delay in the button pushing caused the plane to come apart and crash.

We'll have to wait until later in the season to know if others from Flight 316 ended up on the Island, too. We got a shot of the passengers not in first class, so we may be able to tell if any of them become Islanders as we go along through this season and next.

My only question is where the canoes came from ...

They're patterned after Polynesian outrigger canoes. They're each made from a single tree trunk, which is the traditional method. But that doesn't necessarily require that they were from some Pacific Islanders. The Others could have built them, too. Remember the outrigger that Sawyer, Kate and Karl used to escape from the Hydra Island?

As per the Ajira crap at the abandoned Beach Camp - wow, who knows? I await in anticipation for this revelation.

Now that you mention it I do. I have to look and see if they are made similarly..

They weren't. The one that was used to escape from Hydra Island was a one-sided outrigger (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/lostpedia/images/1/13/Outriggercanoe.jpg), while the ones at the abandoned Beach Camp were two-sided outriggers (http://getlostpodcast.iimmgg.com/image/7d1103aeae15d6995072b2b91b328f6a).

The Beach Camp ones were longer, and (as mentioned) made from a single tree trunk that was carved out in the traditional method used by Pacific Islanders. You can see this better in this screencap (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/lostpedia/images/8/83/Canoes.jpg).

The outrigger used to escape Hydra Island was also hollowed out from a single tree trunk, which you can see here (http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?pid=84291&fullsize=1).

I'm the fastest screencap shooter (http://www.blackberrywallpapers.com/images/yosemite.jpg) north, south, east, or west of the Pecos!

Well, Hurley's guitar and at least one of the Ajira water bottles made it onto the island. Assuming Jack, Kate and Hurley were 'flashed,' how did those things come?

As we have seen in previous flashes if someone is holding something or in it ( like the Zodiac) it time travels also.
Hurley held the guitar case on his lab
Someone else probably had a bottle of water in their hand...or their carryon..or laptop etc. etc.

The interesting thing is that the outriggers and Ajira water bottle are post-Freighter boom-boom after the camp is empty and started falling apart BUT Jack, Hurley, Kate and the Lefties are in Dharma days. My guess is that the Losties, because of their relationship with each other, are in the same "time continuum" (whatever that means). Mrs. Hawking mentioned that if they couldn't reproduce everything as close to possible as the first flight the results were unpredictable...hence some of the Ajira plane survivors in the past, some at present. My opinion is we'll find some of the Ajira crash survivors, including Ben, in the present..probably with some his Others from the plane. I can't imagine the writers want to deal with 2 Bens on the island at the same time.

I missed him with holding the guitar on the first watch. It makes sense now.

I agree, how much stuff was there, could it just be the one water bottle, that could be explained by one of the 06 holding it when they flashed.
