That Ben needs another daughter or possibly Locke needs a daughter? I've always felt that Locke needed someone he can I guess love. What if his daughter is sick and needs his help but his daughter doesn't know who he is but yet she will soon.
Would this make for a good LOST episode? Let me know.

This is your 5th post. Quite possibly my favorite thread starter of all-time.
I would love to read your first 4 posts, I hope they are each ideas for episodes.

I thought it meant that Locke has a daughter and now Ben wants another daughter, so he is going to kidnap Locke's daughter????:undecide:

But she is sick. So why would Ben want a sick daughter? Lostin Albertane its not gonna work. Ben just lost Alex, what if this new daughter also dies? Give Ben a break, he is still mourning Alex's death.

Wait, Locke has a daughter?
I thought I recall in the Bentham obituary that he was survived by a teenaged son. (Thus all the speculation at the time that it was Michael that died, with Walt being the son.)

Come to think of it, whatever became of this son?

(or am I remembering incorrectly?)

LOCKE doesn't have any kids whatsoever. I said What IF he had a daughter. It would make for an interesting story line don't you think so?

Lostin I think you're onto a central element of Locke's character which is his need to be part of something bigger than himself, to be part of a family and to be special but I think it would be a bit much if we just discovered out of the blue that Locke had a daughter

Might be kind of sweet seeing badass Locke in that way but I think if a daughter popped up now most viewers would be like WTF?

Anyway, I see you're new to the board WELCOME TO THE FUSELAGE

Maybe the daughter just "popped up" was because she had no idea that she even knew he was her father. I was thinking that she could be sick with some kind of cancer and needed his bone marrow cause his kidney was already taken by his father; so their relationship kind of evolves from there I guess. But their relationship will only last for a short time. Hows that?

It would echo Locke and Cooper...how bout this...a woman shows up and tells Locke she's his daughter and that she will die if she does not get a bone marrow transplant but the audience is left guessing...is Locke merely being duped again or is she really his daughter....Locke guesses that the woman is like Cooper but he guesses wrong...Locke ironically and tragically is left missing out on the one thing he has always wanted most....family

That would be an excellent episode one that the whole world would tune into. And BTW who is Cooper??? Oh and what if the girl's mom was Katy Segal??? That would be awesome.

Cooper was Locke's father, the con man ...the one who Sawyer killed Remember he showed up out of the blue, convinced Locke he loved him so that Locke would give him his kidney for a transplant and then disappeared and wanted nothing to do with Locke, I love Katy Segal, that would be great

Hey FR8R. You actually turned the ramblings of an insane person into an amazing episode and their response to it was.... "Who's Cooper?"

What do you want to do with the script when completed? Who do you want to pass this script on to? Is this for fanfic? There are websites and groups that can give you more help than what you can find in a thread like this (that is about a specific episode of Lost and not about writing about Lost).

Actually, Locke having a child be it a son or daughter is not out of the realm of possibility, though I don't see it happening on LOST. He did have a relationship with Helen(Katy Segal) which ended aburptly becuase Locke was so obessed with his father. In fact taking into account the over riding theme of children being raised by others, Helen could have gotten pregnant and married someone else who is raising Locke's child. After seeing Helen's grave in this last episode, it wouldn't be far fetched that she was killed by Abbadon and that the baby is being raised by surrogates appointed by Widmore and that the baby has special powers similar to Walt.

Right but the so called baby should be a teenager. And the teenager is sick with some kind of cancer and needs bone marrow transplant and the only one to give it to the kid is John Locke and the only one who can perform the transplant would be Jack :)

I think the idea of a repeat of the Locke incident with his father and the Jack surgery being a repeat of the Ben scenario is a bit much. If you really want to advance an idea you need to make it a bit more original and not already played out in the show. Now if this was a long running soap opera it would be different since they can bring back plot devices that they used 10 or 15 years ago but LOST is still young enough that it needs to be fresh and not use plot devices that were used earlier in the series. Just My Opinion.

Good Luck, I'd be glad to help if you are open to different scenarios, not that I'm an accomplished writer, far be it from that.

Jack is a spinal surgeon, how/why in the world would he perform a bone marrow transplant?!?!? (I can't believe I'm actually playing along with this....)

How would the kid find her father that "allegedly" died in a plane crash but is now back from the dead after being killed using an alias on a mysterious time traveling Island?

The kid finds Widmore through her mother don't ask me how her mother knows Widmore cause I haven't come up with an idea yet.

I have to say this. Most of the comments on this thread have been not only negative but in some respect demeaning.

She simply asked a question. She asked for help, if you can provide none then view it and move on. There is no need to belittle a person for comming up with a question or idea that is outside the box.

I looked at it and tried to think of a way that it might actually work within the frame work of LOST. I sent her the synopsis I came up with and told her I doubted it would be feasible given the fact that the series is comming to an end but also that an idea like hers may have merit in fan fiction of even in a future LOST book. That is what she was looking for. She wasn't putting a new theory out there that needed to be debunked.

Please be respectful of others instead of enhancing your egos by putting others down. Lost has been and continues to be a great serises because it is thought provoking.

Sorry if I came across as disrespectful. I just wanted to make sure your idea was going to be in the "present" or in flashbacks of some sort.

Considering how far reaching some of the theories here are (Aaron is Jacob? The Bible is based on the Losties? Smokey is an alien nano-bot from the future?) your idea is relatively tame :)

So, here's how Locke's daughter could find the Island: Widmore, Ben, etc. have been keeping tabs on her. They made sure Locke never knew she existed, because other wise he'd never go on the Walkabout or back to the Island. Through Hawking, Widmore discovers a new Event Window for him to use. Hawking, again, suggests they get proxies of flights 815 & 316. Locke's daughter, with her terminal illness, could take the spot of both Locke AND Rose on the flight. Locke's daughter gets to the Island, is healed, and is automatically made, like, "princess" of the Island since Locke, the leader, is her dad.

Hope that was helpful.

How about the daughter is completely normal, free of any diseases. Only upon arriving on the island does she become sick. Then Jack can operate on her, bringing Locke and Jack closer together.
