I was SOOOOOOO happy to see Walt return to the show even if it was a short cameo. The actor has gotten big and I always wondered if he was supposed to return with the 06.

The actor has gotten big and I always wondered if he was supposed to return with the 06. Kate731 02-25-2009, 10:16 PM Yeah, and it was a great scene, very touching. I just had to post in this thread cause the title made me laugh. Oh, those were the days. lostgurl 02-25-2009, 10:18 PM It was great to see Walt again, too bad he couldn't have went back to the island so we could see him a bit more. LostLaura 02-25-2009, 10:19 PM I missed Walt, and for our sake's, I wish he returned to the island. But I am glad that Locke didn't ask him to return. That was good of him. popstalindesign 02-25-2009, 10:21 PM Let us not forget Walt's ominous message to John. I think John's in danger. slbailey1 02-25-2009, 10:25 PM And who said that Walt will not return to the island, along with the rest of the off island kids? Lolzst 02-25-2009, 10:26 PM John should have asked Walt if he dreamed about him being in a pit full Dharma bodies. Hunkyhurley 02-25-2009, 10:36 PM walt is SUPPOSED to return ( according to abbadon) so i think well be seeing him ...but hes warning John..."your in a suit and people are trying to hurt you" (paraphrased) he is warning him of what will happen Dan23X 02-25-2009, 10:44 PM Locke never mentioned to Walt that his alias was Jermemy Benthem...How did Walt know that was his name when he visited Hurley at Santa Rosa? Lionhearted 02-25-2009, 10:44 PM I'm having trouble imagining Walt not knowing that his dad was dead. I mean, considering Walt's super powers. If he dreamed Locke on the island in a suit then why didn't he know his dad had died? Unless of course he did know and was asking just to see how Locke answered. 1LovesLost 02-25-2009, 10:52 PM Yeah, and it was a great scene, very touching. I just had to post in this thread cause the title made me laugh. Oh, those were the days. Ditto, LOL :23wtp28_jpg:! workingmom 02-25-2009, 11:46 PM The Locke/Walt reunion was the most touching and heartfelt scene of the episode. I nearly teared up. Very nicely done and it added to Locke's humanity for me, especially since he shielded Walt from the truth about his father. beema 02-25-2009, 11:52 PM It was nice, but I was hoping the scene with him would be a little more chunky with info also now, because of another thread, wondering why the Walt/locke convo addressed by Walt's convo with Hurley wasn't part of it... silveranswer 02-25-2009, 11:53 PM Locke never mentioned to Walt that his alias was Jermemy Benthem...How did Walt know that was his name when he visited Hurley at Santa Rosa? That's what I want to know! Here's their exchange: HURLEY: Hey, Walt. WALT: Hey, Hurley. HURLEY: You're getting big, dude. WALT: You know, when you... came back, I was waiting for one of you to come see me, but... nobody did. HURLEY: I'm sorry. [After another glance across the room at his grandmother, Walt continues.] WALT: Do you know who did come see me? Jeremy Bentham. I don't understand why you're all lying. [Hurley looks to his right, then left, before leaning forward and speaking with a lowered voice, so no one else can hear.] HURLEY: We're lying... because it's the only way to protect everyone that didn't come back. WALT: Like my dad? HURLEY: Like your dad. Yeah. Islandtracker 02-25-2009, 11:56 PM Yeah, and it was a great scene, very touching. I just had to post in this thread cause the title made me laugh. Oh, those were the days. I couldn't help but use that as a title lol.;) It was a very touching scene. It was great to see Walt again, too bad he couldn't have went back to the island so we could see him a bit more. I wish he went back to the island as well. I really miss the feeling him and Michael give the show from season one. I missed Walt, and for our sake's, I wish he returned to the island. But I am glad that Locke didn't ask him to return. That was good of him. Locke showed a shread of humanity when he did that. I am glad that although he is a man on a mission he does have some standards and things like Boone's death did not go in vein. Same with him refusing to bring back Sun. Let us not forget Walt's ominous message to John. I think John's in danger. I can't wait to see what that means. And who said that Walt will not return to the island, along with the rest of the off island kids? I hope so. Ditto, LOL :23wtp28_jpg:! :p ;) The Locke/Walt reunion was the most touching and heartfelt scene of the episode. I nearly teared up. Very nicely done and it added to Locke's humanity for me, especially since he shielded Walt from the truth about his father. It was definately one of the few high points in the episode. As I said above I am glad they have shown some character growth with Locke in that even though he is a zelot he wont sacrifice a kid for his mission of all of them to return. smilingshade 02-25-2009, 11:58 PM Eh, it felt like a throw away scene to me. I'm not really sure what the point of it was. So we could all see how tall he was? So he could still not have closure on his father? So we could hear that he still has some kind of psychic power? eyris 02-25-2009, 11:59 PM I was pissed that Locke lied to Walt about his father. Pfft. But I think Walt will be motivated to go back to the island, looking for Michael. Maybe he was a stowaway on 316. Widmore obviously thought Walt was important enough to spy on him just as he did the 06. I hope Walt goes back to the island and pulls a Jim Hawkins on them all. hjr 02-26-2009, 12:26 AM Locke never mentioned to Walt that his alias was Jermemy Benthem...How did Walt know that was his name when he visited Hurley at Santa Rosa? Just another big continuity error. Though probably not as large as Charlie being unable to swim in Season One and help the drowning Joanna, to becoming an expert swimmer at the end of Season Three. I'm having trouble imagining Walt not knowing that his dad was dead. I mean, considering Walt's super powers. If he dreamed Locke on the island in a suit then why didn't he know his dad had died? Unless of course he did know and was asking just to see how Locke answered. That's how I felt. Seems very inconsistent. I don't care for Locke's lying to Walt about Michael; if Walt finds out about that lie he might never trust Locke again. John should have asked Walt if he dreamed about him being in a pit full Dharma bodies. That would have been terrific. Might have explained why Walt addressed Locke as "John" instead of "Mr. Locke." Eh, it felt like a throw away scene to me. I'm not really sure what the point of it was. So we could all see how tall he was? So he could still not have closure on his father? So we could hear that he still has some kind of psychic power? It struck me like the reason was TPTB wanted to let us know that they didn't completely forget about the character. We learned nothing about Walt, just like in his one-minute Season Four contricution, the scene with Hurley. At least they were consistent that if Walt didn't know Michael was dead when Walt visited Hurley, then Locke shouldn't have told Walt in this scene which came earlier in time. Maybe we'll actually find out something meaningful in Season Six. I think everyone is missing a major point. Walt failed to ask Locke about Vincent! As far as Walt knows, Vincent is still being watched over by Shannon. Isondill 02-26-2009, 12:56 AM The Walt/Locke meeting was definitely disappointing. I hope the writers don't screw Walt out of a good storyline... and as for this scene, itself, it seemed out of character for Walt big time. He didn't ask how anyone else was doing and then just went on his way? No way. B.S. And John should have asked about his vision of Walt... and now the "Jeremy Bentham" thing, with him not using this name with him, it's yet another error. I'm getting really upset and dissapointed. LostMyMarbles 03-06-2009, 04:05 PM "Jeremy Bentham" was a bizarro episode for many reasons, but the one thing that really upset me was the seeming dismissal of the Walt storyline. Walt was "special" back on season 1, seemed to be key to the whole plot, but it's as if the writers lost interest in him. The Locke scene felt like tying up a loose end--Walt being dismissed from the plot. I really, really hope I'm wrong. |
