In the 3 Years Later scenes, we see Jin, Sawyer, Juliet, and Miles, but we don't get a glimpse of Daniel.

Has something happened to him? Has the strain of watching little Charlotte grow up broken him?

Or, since the scene in ep 1 showing Daniel under the Orchid with Mr. Chang, could Daniel have gotten to the FDW?
