When was the last time Ben heard about the fate of or even better personally saw Jin before the night of the Bentham killing?

Did he see or hear about Jin being alive after the ambush/fight/capture and his requested execution of Jin by Tom/Mr. Friendly in Through the Looking Glass Pt 2?

Trying to understand if Ben specifically knew Jin was on the Freighter (did Kate, Jack or Locke have first hand knowledge and say that Ben before the stangulation or if his last knowledge of him was thinking he may have been killed during the assault on the beach camp in TLG Pt 2.

His 'man on the boat' was supposed to have kept in up to date on things. I don't know how Michael communicated with Ben, but that's what Ben said was going on. In that way, Ben would find out about Jin.
