Yay for the gym. I don't have a gym membership anymore (it was too expensive), I just walk everywhere and try to work out at home.

My husband and I quit smoking. It's been 4 weeks now. I figured I should do something good for myself that I would like. I decided to join the gym. The YMCA is a little bit cheaper. I was going to a really nice gym last year. I cancelled my membership when I started going back to school. It was way too much money. I think more preventative things should be covered under health insurance. Doesn't make sense.

That's really great. I also travel a lot for work so I try to take advantage of hotel gyms.

I used to belong to a really nice YMCA. They had all sorts of good stuff.

Having health clubs more affordable MIGHT actually help us have less over weight people --- fewer diseases and less people eating out ---
Thinking about that would put a lot of people out of work -- I guess I should do my part and go eat McDonald's :lol2:

I had that happen when I worked at Taco Bell. After a year of eating, making, and smelling that food, I became repulsed by it.

I've slowly built myself back up to eating double decker tacos on occasion though. ;D

I'm being so good. I had a turkey sandwich on very "wheat" bread. Blah, I'm getting use to it, a yogurt and an apple. It's so much more fun to be bad. I'm going to weigh myself in two weeks. If I haven't lost anything you all can witness me have a nervous breakdown.

For me, it's not the number of calories, but the amount of unnecessary money that I spend when I go out to lunch. It's so much better to make things at home and then bring them in. Well, better as in cheaper. Sometimes I'd really just go down to a deli and get a real sandwich instead of leftovers.

I hardly ever eat out. My husband is a shutin. We never go any where. I'm going to start pretending I'm not married.

I was very proud of myself -- the kids were treated to McDonald's I only had half a milkshake-- and ate a healthy lunch at home :)

Have you guys tried the McDonald's salads? I'm just curious of they're any good.

Personally, I prefer Wendy's over McDonald's just because of the variety of foods there.

I have a personal theory that the McDonald's in NYC are more disguisting than any other McDonalds. Whenever I leave, I think the food tastes better.

Yeah, the worst part is that I just agreed (well, was assigned) to help her out because she can't deal with her own work. This is the second time this has happened with the same person. I don't think I'm going to agree to help her again after this is done.

Well, we're being forced to all take a weeks vacation sometime in June because production is slowing down. I guess it could be worse. It gives me an excuse to take a whole week off. I wasn't really planning on taking a vacation this year. Hopefully the weather will be nice. I suppose I could use some R&R.

Yeah, I was planning on banking it though. If you save 80 hours in this catastrophic bank you can bet paid your left over vacation at the end of the year. Oh well. At least I get to take some time off. I'm just happy I have a job and getting a paycheck.
