Hi all. Wow, I feel like I've dropped off the face of the earth. Hope everyone is doing well. All work and no play for me. I work in the QC Chemistry Dept. for a vaccine manufacturer. Think DOD and you could probably figure out what kind of vaccine. :-X We've been doing cross training the last couple of weeks between some of the analyst. I'm learning how to test our water samples for TOC, conductivity, chlorine, silica, ect. I'm such an uber nerd. I'm actually having a great time. I just miss getting on here and chatting with you guys. I totally didn't get to lament about Boone. So sad. I actually cried. Some would say I need to get a life but I love this show too much. LOL. Well, hopefully things will calm down here in a bit. I can start gabbing it up again. Until then my tail needs to get into gear this morning. Hugs and Kisses.

I know I'm definitely gonna need one after this week at work! We have one of the 'big shots' coming to visit, so as usual, all the higher ups are going around like crazy trying to get things perfect for the visit. It's going to be another long day for me tomorrow. I worked 11 hours today, and possibly 12 hours tomorrow. Ick! Thankfully I'm off on Wednesday. My mom works at Wal-Mart. She's been working there for 20 years I think.

I admire her for that. Retail burnt me out really badly, really quickly.

Hello people! I am FINALLY online! I just got home from work about an hour ago. Yes, I put in 13 hours today. I'm going to have a VERY happy paycheck next week! ;D But, I am EXHAUSTED! I even gained a blister on my foot for all my hard work. Funny thing is, or rather not funny, is the big wig will probably breeze through the area and not be too nitpicky about things! I remember one crazy week we were preparing for a visit and they cancelled the night before! >:( They better not cancel this time, cuz my area looks GREAT!

Chesh, I used to work for Wal-mart also, but in Texas. I was a CSM (customer service manager, to all you non-Wal-mart people :laugh:). I was only there for 8 months, but I liked it. I don't think I could still be working there now, though. I like the big department store environment, cuz I get to work more one on one with the customers. I made 2 big sales today, one for $65 and another for about $100 to 2 little old ladies. They were so happy that someone was there to help them out. Considering I was there mostly for 'cleaning crew', I did pretty good.

Anyway, this post is getting lengthy and I have many more threads to read!

Marina, I did time as a CSM, too! I was actually head CSM at one point. I also did time as remodel, cashier, stocker, department manager, and directs. I was quite busy when I was there.

13 hours is a long day. I hated doing those days (14 hours was my longest...my legs were about to fall off!). Especially when the big wigs come through. Either they just breeze through or if they do point something out, it's the dumbest thing in the world to get nitpicky over.

Congrats on your sales, though! Good job! ;D

I can usually sell more than that, but my position here is 'lead associate' , which means I'm like an assistant to my department manager. Yeah, I get to boss people around, too! :lol2: I'm sooo glad I'm not working tomorrow though. Can't wait to 'party' this weekend, too..... ;D

I can tell you that I have been fasting for almost 7 weeks now....no chicken, beef or pork....at all! After the 3rd episode I wanted JJ to pull together a season finale that tied together EVERYONE'S back stories and showed us what we didn't know about what happened, etc, to those ppl (which we currently don't understand). So... looks like this is the closest thing to that ;D

Yeah I have to agree. I'm in 10th grade and I don't ever remember doing Math so young of an age. My mom said their doing adding. 1+1=2. LOL. I just had to do that.

Yeah I agree. I mean shouldn't they be starting to learn math in 1st grade? Its a little too early. Unless they are getting them ready for next year. Its rather confusing to me. All I remember is taking naps and playing with toys. Oh and recess as well. ;D
