View Full Version : Where is Aaron?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lockefan 03-20-2009, 03:33 PM I cannot go on another moment without knowing where Aaron is!
...Okay, so maybe I overstated that a wee tad but I seriously want to know where he is!!!!!! You must not allow him to be raised by another! Great danger surrounds this child!
When are we going to find out what became of him? Where is he? Who has him? Is he okay? Why did Kate let him go? Why doesn't Kate want to talk about it, even to Jack? Why does Jack seem to just accept that (I already have a thread going on that particular Q in the appropriate episode thread, so moving on...)? Is Kate being blackmailed not to reveal what happened to Aaron/where he is? Or is she just so traumatized over whatever happened and/or having to give him up, that she just can't talk about it?
People, I'm obsessed! I can't rest until we find out SOMETHING about baby Aaron!*
I'm just saying. Why don't I see any other threads discussing/wondering about Aaron? Am I the only one obsessed with this kiddo and his role in the story ever since "Raised by Another"?
* edited to add: oooops--I just realized he isn't a baby anymore, he's a full-fledged CHILD! Being raised by another! This is not good, people...not good at all.
Monster Eats The Pilot 03-24-2009, 06:57 PM You are definitely not the only one... this could be considered a spoiler, it was on the podcast from 2/25.
Carlton said "we will find out more about what happened with Kate and Aaron in the 11th episode of this season." Hopefully this will ease your troubled mind.

There are official press releases for the rest of the episodes of the season. They include casts, a quick synopsis, and episode title.
You can find them at docartz.com or in fuselage's spoiler forum.

I appreciate it.
giulia_ricci 03-26-2009, 09:14 AM I guess that one "?" and one "!" were enough to make your question clear... ok, kiddin'.
But you can be sure you will know very soon
next episode is Kate-centric, and we will get in one single episode Cassidy (Sawyer's ex-girlfriend) and Carole Littleton (Claire's mum). Very likely that Aaron will be temporarily parked by one of these two...

Duuuuuuuuude: thank you for your spoiler. Between the two spoilers thus far in this thread, color me excited about next week's episode!!! And I only put this in spoiler font in case anyone out there in Fuselage Land is trying to remain so unspoiled that they don't even want a hint that the next episode might have anything to do with the mystery of Aaron's whereabouts. I am going to start now to inform all family and friends NOT to call, write, come over or send a telegram next Wednesday. Not only will I not answer the phone during LOST, as usual, but I may need the rest of the evening--both before and after it airs--to first prepare myself and then recover from whatever unfolds. Yessiree, bobtail.

There's a group out somewhere (don't know if it could be considered spam so I avoid mentioning the source unless the mods tell me I can) with a gjust-for-fun group called "If you talk during Lost, I'll kick your *** during the commercial". I think that's a good occasion to do it.
Lockefan you are not alone. I have been waiting for this part of Kate's story since the first 4 episodes of the season. If they do not tell me all of it next week and still leave some of it out, things will break. Expensive things. Things will break. I hope it does not disappoint because I have been waiting for this and now it is 4 days and a few hours away.

I have two friends who are perpetually miffed at me because I refuse to answer the phone during LOST. It's like, "A real friend wouldn't put a TV show ahead of a friend." Well, guess I'm a faux friend, then, but for that one hour per week (two, if ABC airs the previous week's episode first), I am unavailable.
DEAL WITH IT!
A real friend would understand and be thrilled that their friend had something she enjoys so much that for that one hour per week she is able to totally escape her real life and get completely immersed and "lost in LOST". And anyone who doesn't get it can kiss my Dharma grits.
Wednesday nights: do not call Lockefan. Do not expect Lockefan to rush outside if a plethora of emergency vehicles, including ambulances and police cars, pull up in front of her house (this really happened once during LOST, of course), and everyone else in the 'hood ends up out in the street. Nope, don't care if there is a psychokiller loose in the 'hood and he or she has already stabbed people multiple times, or if someone is being Baker-Acted, or if someone had a heart attack, or even if my own house is on fire. I'll care at 10:01 p.m. Until then: TURN OFF THE DANG SIRENS AND LIGHTS! Don't you know LOST is on?!!!! What's wrong wit' chu'?!
edited to add: Just to swing this puppy back around to the topic of Aaron...I not only NEED to know where he is, who has him, what the 411 is on the whole situation, why Kate let him go, ETC., but I also need to know where Claire is and what the 411 is on her letting him go. I'm thinking there were some serious Dharmaceuticals (that's my new word, doesn't it ROCK?!) involved.
DISCUSS!

Cut the phone line off. So the ringing doesn't disturb you anymore, and neither your friends

Well, I seriously hope they won't leave us with these questions unanswered!!! I mean, I hope we are not going to see Kate leaving him somewhere without getting explanations of what led her to do it. Kate was and still is clearly destroyed by whatever happened.
As for Claire, I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever find out. I miss her so much :frown:.
If we have to trust the rumours
she is supposed to be back in season six so... who knows?
Lockefan 03-27-2009, 12:56 PM Kate was and still is clearly destroyed by whatever happened.
I agree with that assessment. I really think Aaron had given a purpose to her life and she loves him with all her heart. Whatever happened that resulted in her being seperated from him has clearly broken her heart. When she said in "He's Our You" that she doesn't know why everyone else came back, she only knows why she came back, I thought: why she came back has something to do with Aaron. Either she came back to find him or to right something, to do something, help the "universe course correct" in some way, that will result in Aaron either being back with her, or back with Claire, as maybe Kate has been convinced somehow that he should be. OR she was blackmailed via Ben or Widmore or someone threatening to harm Aaron, and they told her that if she didn't return to the island, something bad would happen to Aaron. Whatever went down, there's one thing I strongly feel about Kate ever since she got Aaron and came to love him and feel protective about him: everything she does is for that kid. For example, the Kate Austen we knew would never have taken that plea bargain, never have said she would stay in one place, she would have wanted to fight it all the way or to RUN. But she did what was way out of her comfort zone in order to ensure that she would not be separated from Aaron, that she would not do any jail time. It was right then I knew: Kate would do anything for Aaron, period.
So, imho, everything she is doing, she is doing for him. That's not to say she might not be misguided at the moment, but she thinks what she is doing is the best for Aaron, what she has to do for him, that's why she's doing it (including letting him go--IF she "let" him go, and who knows, maybe they TOOK him and all she wants from that moment is to get him back).
What I personally don't get and have posted about elsewhere is how Jack can be so all-fired non-chalant about Aaron's whereabouts. He is Aaron's uncle, Claire's half-bro (and Aaron is all Jack has left of his only sibling, so in a way he is all he has left of his dad/Christian, too), Claire and Aaron's doctor from pre-birth through the entire time they were originally on the island, almost Aaron's virtual dad by virtue of marrying Kate, but most of all he's Jack and Jack is protective and wants to save people he cares about and fix things. Yet he just says, oh, okay, no problema, I won't ask about Aaron if you don't want me to? I mean, yeah, Kate was "destroyed", as you so aptly put it, so maybe Jack wouldn't have pushed the issue at that moment (although I personally would have, but maybe that's just me), but he hasn't asked since, far as we all know. Not a word about Aaron. WEIRD!

Don't even get me started with that. I'm so pissed off by his absolute non-interest in the kid but I keep the insults for the right thread . Anyway, either he really doesn't give a damn about his nephew or he knows what happened to him, which is probably even worse 'cause that would mean he tricked Kate not once, but twice (first at the Marina, second bringing her back to the island).
Lockefan 04-06-2009, 03:56 PM Well, sorry it took me so long to get back to the board since the last episode, "Whatever Happened, Happened", which answers this question! My net access is limited/dicey and I haven't had a chance to post but I've been thinking about it to beat the band!
Where to start?
At first I felt like it just didn't feel true to Kate or true to, as Locke might say, what was "supposed to happen", that she would just turn Aaron over to someone who, granted, is indeed an immediate blood relative BUT who is also a TOTAL STRANGER to both Kate and Aaron. No way, thought I. No way, no how, would Kate just turn over Aaron, whom she has loved as her own son for THREE YEARS to a woman Aaron has never met and she has met, what, twice? No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No.
But then, as I thought about it more and more, I realized that, much as Kate loves Aaron and he loves her, she has felt guilty all this time about perpetrating the lie, and guilty about not trying to find out what happened to Claire. She feels, judging by her action in turning him over to Claire's mom, that she has not done right by Aaron in living this lie. Even though it was the only way to keep him safe at the time and even though it was the only way to keep him with the only real "family" (i.e., the LOSTies were his family) he had ever known, and even though she has nothing to feel guilty about on that score and I think she knows that, she does feel guilty on the whole other score of: uh oh, maybe I should have been looking for Claire before now, trying to solve the mystery of what happened to her, instead of just trying to put it behind me and Aaron and out of my mind. Maybe I owe it to Claire and to Aaron. Maybe what started out as the right thing has become the wrong thing.
So Kate did a very selfless thing, as the last thing she wanted was to let go of Aaron. She is searching for Claire and I admire her for doing that for Aaron. That said, I gotta also say, I don't think she should have left him with Claire's mom. Why not leave him with Cassidy? Aaron has grown up with Cassidy and Clementine in his life, Clementine even calls Kate "Aunt Kate", for Jacob's sake. Aaron knows Cassidy. Had Kate explained that he was going to be staying with Aunt Cassidy for a while, I feel it would have been better for Aaron psychologically. I have a real problem with Kate leaving Aaron with Claire's mom, who again, is a total stranger, I'm sorry. Blood or no blood.
I feel like, you have lied this long, why not keep the lie going a little longer while you search for Claire, then once you find her, or if you don't find her, or WHATEVER happens, you can decide to tell the truth to the world (including Claire's mom, of course) at that time, not now! If nothing else, leaving the baby with "Aunt Cassidy" wouldn't raise many suspicions in the press if Kate made some excuse for taking a somewhat extended trip. By contrast, if the media catches wind that one of the O6 left her baby (another of the O6) with one of the supposedly dead Flight 815 passenger's mother, and that passenger was Australian, ta boot, so presumably Kate would have had no connection with her before Flight 815, and she supposedly died in the crash, it is going to raise some eyebrows! If Claire's mom takes Aaron out of the country, this is going to get the media on this.
To me, it would have made more sense in several ways, and especially it would have been better for Aaron psychologically, to leave him with Cassidy! He already lost his mother, Claire, when he was a baby. Some might say he was too little to remember, to be affected, but I feel that babies are affected by things like that. It was made easier for him because he knew Kate before, he'd always known Kate--Kate delivered him, she's always been there--and she loved him a lot. So he adjusted to that, no problema. I'm sure he missed his mom, yet he knew he was okay and loved with Kate, mom #2. But now suddenly at age THREE, a critical age in development, you are just going to leave him with--again, I must call it as I see it--a total stranger?
I'm sorry, I'm having a problem with it. I'm trying to understand it and in many ways I do, and I know Kate is trying to make things right in the best way she can. But I'm thinking: why didn't you leave the little turniphead with Cassidy until you find out the 411 on Claire?
On the plus side, at least he isn't in the clutches of Ben's people or Widmore's people...as far as we know. ...Poor Aaron. I hope he'll be okay.
