When Sayid says "who's that guy?" referring to Oldham, LaFleur says "He's our you."
It's a cute line. Makes the viewers think Oldham is a torturer.
But doesn't that blow Sayid's cover? Wouldn't the DI guys wonder what that meant? Like, hey, do you know this guy?

It would blow his cover, if they heard him. I do not think the DI guy heard what Sawyer had said to Sayid.

I think he said it quietly enough that only Sayid heard him.

Yeah, I guess I have to admit that you're right. They would call that an aside, right. Kind of where a character talks to the audience as much as to anyone else.
The more I thought about it, the more it seemed a bit weird.
