I don't know the veracity, but there's a rumor that

Jacob might have some role toward the end of this season

(Again, not sure how true this is but don't read it unless you're absolutely certain you don't mind a spoiler)

We will, I am certain of it, have a little patience.

The journey to discovering who or what Jacob is, will hopefully be worth it, in the end.

I would rather travel back a million years and see what the island is. Not that im unkeen to see Jacob I just find the mystery of the island itself more riveting in the mythology than the human bumbling interpretation of it.

The two are probably connected, but of course they may not be connected at all, but I bet when we find out about Jacob we will find out about the Island, that is what Ben told Locke, 'this is the man who can give you the answers you want' or something to that effect.

I am glad that Jacob hasn't been revealed entirely yet, but I think they could have shown us a little more of interaction with him, in some way, as he is such an intriguing part of the show. I have no idea when they will reveal him, there are various opportunities, but right now I just have clue about where he will fit into things and when they will fit him in

I think that they have. In "Cabin Fever" Christian said that he can speak on Jacob's behalf, so I think that Christian is the writer's way of letting Jacob be involved without showing us his face yet.

I'm thinking that his instructions to Locke last season and Sun this season are from Jacob.

Christian could be lying. I can't help but feel like Christian, or whatever is in the guise of Christian is an evil entity and Jacob is a good entity. I just don't trust that guy as far as I could throw him!

That's possible, but everything that Dead Christian has said that would happen, thus far has so I won't distrust him yet.

Would you say that Christian is the messenger of some entity but not one himself?
When he and John meet again, before John turns the FDW, John asks if Christian can help him up. To which Christian responds, "No John, I can't"
It would seem as though Christian has limitations and knows them. Either that or he truly is an evil entity.

Nevermind Jacob, we still haven't found out about the importance of the song "somewhere beyond the sea" which was written in French on Danielle's maps! True it's probably just a reference to the looking glass but they have never confirmed this or officially linked them!!

I like that as much as we're learning this season, we still have very little idea on a lot of things. Jacob being one of them

And what the Others do with children... we haven't even seen the temple yet, either. Man, I'm gonna miss this show when it's gone.

I've had so many thoughts about Jacob that I confuse myself. Maybe Jacob is not that important. What if he is just used as device to move the story along like Rimbaldi in "Alias"?

Please don 't mention Alias. I hope they produce a better ending on Lost than they did with Alias.

I only hope Jacob is a perfectly normal human being that never died before and is aging like any person should. Just because it would be ironic.

Not likely since he was obviously running things back in 1954 when Locke told Richard that Jacob sent him. I think Jacob has been around as long or longer than Richard.

Somebody ought to put together a list of all of the descriptive comments about Jacob we have been given over the years. Benry said he was a great man but not a forgiving man. Mikhail said some things about him as well. Then we know he makes lists. We also heard Richard make comments. Ben has said Jacob is not a man you go and see but who calls you when he has something to say. Obviously, Juliet knows a bit about him as well from when she was doubting Ben's word on healing her sister during his tumor incident. Lastly, there were several Jacob comments in the brain-washing film in room 23 where they were frying poor Carl's mind.

We have been given tons of tidbits on Jacob. I'd be curious to see a thread on all of them.

But boring. I'd rather find out that Jacob was a talking car than just a normal human at this point.
