I guess with the recent recap being about the Oceanic 6, this one will be about the Left-Behinders?

Ok let me start off by saying im a HUGE lost fan, I cant remember ever watching a show on a weekly bases before, let a long becoming a member of a message board site. So thank you ABC, Damon and Carlton, all the writers, cast and so on, most amazing show in television history.

But...............Heres one of my very few beefs about the show. Recap episodes, now im not completely against them but I feel there should be a point behind them. In the past they have never really bother me especially when there followed by a brand new episode :). I can definitely see the point behind them at the beginning of the season so that new viewers can get caught up on what’s going on. I see the point after an extended break so that all viewers can be refreshed on the story line. This shorter season started off with a recap episode before the season premier (make since) then they play 8 new episodes over a 7-week span (Awesome ☺) then a break (yeah it sucked without my weekly dose of lost but understandable, happens with pretty much every show). Then 5 episodes in 5 weeks (again awesome). Then last week, there was no really need for a recap episode but that’s not what peeved me off, It was the fact that they didn’t come out and clear state it was going to be one. ABC promoted it as “the story of the oceanic 6 from a whole new perspective” Whole new perspective??? Well to me that must mean some new footage, sadly that was not the case not 1 second of new footage so to me I felt ripped off and a little scammed, if it was just another recap episode why not be up front about it and tell everyone it is?

I didn’t see the need for this particular recap episode, it was like cheap filler. Maybe because ABC promised there would be no interruptions this season? Now im a realist and I am fully aware that they need to play episodes in certain weeks for sweeps, its how they determine what they will charge sponsors for advertising rates or something like that. They should be up front about it; the fans would understand the odd week off. Now you say there will be another recap episode in 2 weeks??? Are you serious? That will make it 3 this season alone. There will be a total of 17 new episodes this year and 3 recap episodes, they didn’t have that many in seasons that had 23 episodes. If its just filler a rather watch a pop-up repeat or another Nikki & Pablo episode (which im still hanging for that episode to have some kind of tie in with the story line, I keep tell myself there is a point behind that episode, LOL). But im still a fan, will continue to watch it every week religiously until the final episode, and will continue to buy the box sets every year, just a little annoyed at the over kill on recaps this year.

I think the reason for the last recrap episode was so that the last few episodes coincide with the sweeps. I'm not much for them either, but it's better than no LOST at all, imo.:) Besides, you just know that these last two eppys. and then the finale are going to be amazing.

I'm glad we go to meet and know the Dharma Initiative people, but honestly, I've had enough of Horace and that hair, Radzinsky and that smirk, and Phil with his general creepiness. :eek2: It's time to get back to the reason the show was so great to begin with and that is the LOSTIES. The original characters that we all fell in love with.

I know there was a reason for all the rest (although some of it I still question  ) but seeing that there is so little time left, it should be all about the Losties and their journey's from here on out.

I agree that in general the Clip show was a little boring. But this season 5 clip show was of some importance to me because it helped me to fully understand the Chronology of Jack and Kate's relationship off island. It was always difficult to ascertain at what point Kate's trial happened, Jack's father's funeral, their Proposal, and the Point where Jack went over the edge. In this respect, it was very useful.
