I'm a little confuse about the time issue in regards to Rose and Bernard. Sawyer, Kate , Hurley, and Jack and all the people who return to the island on flight 315 was believe to have return to the 70's time period, with the exception of Sun, Ben and Locke. Therefore, when Jack was planning to blow up the Swan station, it was believe in the 70's right before the swan station was through being built. Yet, when Jack came across Bernard and Rose was it still in the 70's ? Both Rose and Bernard seem to have age quiet a bit, yet everyone else stayed the same. Plus where did they get the Dharma food from? Afterall , isn't Dharma 's food for Dharma Initiative only? wasn't that before the incident, when they were still able to go back and forth on the island, so it wouldn't be a need for a food drop. So how did Rose and Bernard acquire the food? and what time zone was they in the 70's , or 2009?

Juliet, Sawyer, Rose, Bernard etc are in 1977. They initially transported to 1974, and they have lived there for 3 years. Rose and Bernard had survived in the jungle, so they hadn't been having regular baths / showers / haircuts, so they looked more aged. Sawyer, Juliet etc had been living at Dharma for 3 years, kept them nice and clean. Rose and Bernard had been stealing supplies from Dharma to survive.

John, Ben, Sun and Frank are in 2007. 2009 has not happened yet in the show.

So now the question is, Does the incident cause Jack Kate Sawyer Jin and Miles and the crispy crispy body of Juliet to fling forward in time back to the 2007ish time. and if so what happens to Rose and Bernard. OR where they too far away, dentin to ultimately become Adam and Eve. Or Do they have a bigger purpose? Will they march out of the jungle in the season finally next year, with some sage words of advice, or was this them making peace, so Miles can identify them in the cave next season.

My question is how did Rose know it was the 1970's?

How old is Vincent? I thought that it was odd that Vincent did not appear to be 3 years older yet Bernard and Rose both looked to be much older. 3 years should have more of an effect on a dog than a person - right?!

My question is how did Rose know it was the 1970's?

Because she and Bernard had been sneaking around the island keeping tabs on everyone. They knew that the O6 had joined the DI, and they had also been stealing food from the drops/barracks. It follows that having lived through the seventies and now observing the people from the DI first-hand that they may have put two and two together.

Three years isn't going to do that much to a dog if it's healthy and kicking. I don't know how old Vincent was when the show started, but let's just say he was 2. He's only 5 now. My dog is 10, and she's starting to show her age.

Shouldn't Vincent have been dead? Shouldn't the time jump have killed him. like it did Charlotte ?

I don't think so. I believe that Vincent is "special". Also, as far as his aging--I don't think it would be that noticeable. He's a young dog.

There are plenty of other people the time jump didn't kill, you know. . . .

So are we to assume that all the redshirts died in the flaming arrow attack, and only R/B survived,

On the list of important questions this one is way at the bottom don't ya think? they don't even have name's for pete's sake. Rose and Bernard jumped, survived and frankly don't give a damn about what's happening. The fate of the unnamed is up to you. We'll either get that answer or not, I really think that would be a waste of time, however.;)

They aged the same as everyone else, they just didn't have access to a hairbrush, razors, etc.... Am I forgetting something? When did Jack see Rose and Bernard? They were in the 70's.

How much different is a dog supposed to look after just 3 years?????

Yeah I dont really care either way just wondering.

Now that we know R/B and Vincent are fine, I guess they are done with the show, and we can just assume now they live happily until they die, as I doubt they'd time-travel with the rest of the losties now, and will not leave 1977 era.

They're in the 70's.... I don't think they look "older", just less well-groomed. Living in the wild will do that.

As for the food, maybe they did some Dharma dumpster diving!

I wonder if they have been there for 3 years, how did they survive without getting caught by Dhrama, or The Others?

I'm wondering if Bernard knew what was going to happen to Juliet when he asked her to tea (he looked a bit worried too).
