Awesoman 05-14-2009, 05:58 PM So exactly who were the people shooting at Sawyer and crew on the other canoes during the episode, The Little Prince?
What will become of Desmond, Widmore and Ms. Hawking?
And will Ben's old childhood friend Annie ever end up having any significance?
I'm sure we'll see the scene again.
herrdokter 05-17-2009, 03:38 PM After the end of this season I am thinking more about Ben and Widmore, correct me if I am wrong, but we haven't seen the total story between those two.
I'm still not sure who the island is so important to Widmore, or why he has dedicated the rest of his life to find it again, well so it seems imo.
Also, Hurley's Guitar Case, and I say case because I don't believe it has a guitar inside it.
We still don't know how the polar bear got off the island, but having said that they were still building the orchid, so Dr Chang hasn't done his video for that station etc, so if the polar bear went through the donkey wheel device that hasn't yet happened either, still it would of been nice to have that wrapped up.
There is probably more things I could mention, but I can't think of them right now.
Also, did Faradays story ever get fully told? Crying infront of the TV, that didn't really get much of an explanation in my opinion, testing his work on himself, but now he is dead, so maybe thats just going to remain unanswered.
Hunkyhurley 05-18-2009, 12:28 AM I want to know about annie
whats in the guitar case?
Who is Jacobs "friend" ? What are they ?
The island isnt done with Desmond, so what next ?
Who is alive, and where/when are they ?
the whispers?
and much much more ..
arainvil 05-18-2009, 09:43 PM I was a little disappointed because I swore I read in several different places that in season 5 we'd find out what happened to Henry Gale, why Ben was caught in Rousseau's trap, and why Libby was in the institution. Hope these things don't get brushed over.
On another note, after the finale (though I liked MOST of it), I had this huge sinking feeling. I'm looking forward to season 6, mostly because I have absolutely NO idea where the show is going now. However, the reveal that all this is much broader than we could have ever have thought (Jacob and anti-Locke = good versus evil) to me means that so much of the big mysteries I was interested in don't really matter any more. The numbers, the failed pregnancies, the fate of the survivors seem so insignificant now. I guess I'm still sorting out how I feel about all this...grandness.
Lost Ed 05-19-2009, 11:16 AM Karl. Where did he come from? Who are his parents? Was he the last child born on the island before the pregnancy plague struck?
Amy & Ethan. Why did we get introduced to Amy and the birth of Ethan? I have a long winded thought on this, but I don't like it. Will share upon request.
herrdokter 05-20-2009, 12:45 PM Where is Ben? We know he went off to be fixed, but we never really saw anything else of him. Now this would explain how he might not remember the losties being part of the DI, but still I would of like to of seen Ben handed back over to his father and see how all that played out.
Who built the lamp post? I thought it would of been Faraday, maybe it still is, he was off island for a while, I wonder if this is something that will come up again.
Who was shooting at the Oceanic 6? I will have to watch the season again, but as far as I know we didn't find out who they were right?
The woman at the butcher shop, she looked after dead Locke, she knew Ben, how? etc
How others get off the island, Richard has been leaving the island, now how the hell was he doing that and returning to it.
I will probably have more, I will probably make mistakes and post some that did get answered. But I also want you to know I love LOST and having unanswered questions is not a problem, I like coming on here and reading all the theories on it all.
pascalephoto 05-20-2009, 01:03 PM why Libby was in the institution.
This will be one of the mysteries we will not find an answer to. The powers that be told us that the Libby story line is as dead as she is.

Who/What is Christian?
Where is Claire?

Who are Adam and Eve?

Why were both Ellie and Widmore at the hospital when Desmond got shot.
Why is Desmond special?
Why did dead Ana Lucia tell Hurley to stay away from the police?
wanders01 05-20-2009, 01:07 PM I think the Big unanswered question is................after all this time how can we not be sure of what heck is going on? TPTB have kept us guessing a long time and we still don't know the big picture for sure.

Something has been on my mind regarding this. When Ben visited Widmore in the penthouse, Widmore asked if he was going to kill him. Ben replied "you know i can't do that". Then later Widmore said that the island was always his.
After watching the scene between Jacob and Black Shirt Guy during the opening of this years finale, the convo between Ben and Widmore seems awfully similar. The only thing is, Widmore seemed to be playing the part of Jacob while Ben was more like BSG...

Yeah I totally agree. I wonder if the Ben and Widmore story will come forward. I guess Widmore could be saying the island was his because he was leading the others, but that doesn't explain why he can't kill him, but that is a whole other thing, remember when Michael tried to kill himself? The island wouldn't let him, so maybe the same could go for Widmore, the island won't let ben or anyone kill him.
NegativeZero 05-23-2009, 12:07 PM Yeah I totally agree. I wonder if the Ben and Widmore story will come forward. Yeah. Widmore does seem to be egotistical enough to think that just because he was their leader for a time that the island is his. I'm sure more of this story--Ben/Widmore--will be told. It seems to me to be a pretty important story.
That sure is one picky island. Deciding who is and who isn't allowed to die. lol

So exactly who were the people shooting at Sawyer and crew on the other canoes during the episode, The Little Prince?
This is just off the top of my head, but if you recall when Locke and company found the outriggers, they found a bottle of Ajira water in one of them. So i'm assuming that they were the other two boats that were left on hydra island after Lapidus and Sun took one. If Ilana and the others already knew about dead Locke, then i'm guessing they might have known he was with Sawyer and the others and they were trying to stop him. Not knowing whether or not the others were helping FLocke.
NBC001 05-25-2009, 08:09 PM Has anybody ever found Claire's Bird with the message?
NegativeZero 05-25-2009, 11:26 PM Some things rolling around in my head today:
1. Two "smokies"
I brought this up on another thread. When Locke first encounters the smoke monster, he says it's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. Then later when talking to Eko, he describes it as a bright white light, to which Eko replied "that is not what i saw". So far we've only seen one pillar of black smoke. But like everthing else on the show, that doesn't mean there's not another one that is white.
2. Two statues
In the S2 finale, Jin Sun and Sayid see the left foot of what remains of a large statue. During the finale this year we see the right foot of what remains of a large statue. So i say there are two statues. One for Jacob, one for BSG. It's unlikely J and BSG live too close to each other, so instead of a continuity error, i believe in the two statue theory.
3. Richard Alpert is the real leader of The Others
I don't know why i haven't thought of this before now--and it's probably been brought up here somewhere anyway--but i'm starting to think that RA is the real leader of The Others. The one that is appointed, i.e., Widmore, Eloise, Ben, are simply figureheads to protect the real leader...Richard. Think about it. An adversary comes around looking for the leader, pulls out a gun and bang, you're dead. What better way to protect your leader?
Just some random thoughts. I certainly have more, but it's been a real long boring rainy Monday, so my brain has decided to run at about 30 percent.
Gimme your thoughts on the three things i've brought up.
evanesco75 05-26-2009, 12:32 AM Great questions, Negative Zero!
1. Two smokies: I used to think smokey changed its manifestation/ form depending on the person, but I realize we have never seen it being anything other than a black column of smoke, or a dead person ala Yemi, Alex etc. Your theory seems more than plausible, therefore.
Which might mean that Locke saw 'Jacob' or a form of him, early on at the first sighting in WA. It would also fit with Jacob 'healing' him prior to the island after his fall i.e. they already had a connection.
However, that also suggests that eventually Locke was duped by Black Smokey and wait! Black Smokey (or Esau as people think) tried to seize Locke and drag him down in Exodus! Perhaps trying to take over someone Jacob had marked as his follower? Hmm...
2. The two statues also fits with Jacob and Esau living on the island, not together but rather that they're both meant to be there, somehow. I'll say yes to this too.
3. I love the thought of Richard as the the real leader! It would be fantastic, a great twist and certainly better than either Ben or Widmore being leader.
