What's up with the painting of the dog in the cabin?
Could Vincent be Jacob's dog? And he took him off the island and gave him to Brian Porter, knowing that he'd eventually end up with Walt and back on the island.

Was wondering the same thing about the painting in the cabin.
I was wondering if he was played by the same dog. He looked bigger and more robust than I remembered. His coat seemed darker in places too.
I thought the painting seemed out of place and maybe meaningful. But I thought the painting of the older blonde woman in Ben's house would be revealed to have significance and so far they've done nothing with it.

It could be the same dog, three years later...Yeah, this Vincent as more barrelchested and ran sort of waddly like....I imagine he's been spoiled by Rose and Bernard.
The painting...Well, I can see Jacob, as an artist, painting Vincent as he waited around for something to do. He has been shown to be an artist..
