To be fair, this has been discussed twice before:

but the discussion always concludes with the logical "I guess we'll find out about that rear canoe in the finale". So... well?

I'm afraid that if we do see the outrigger chase in S6 it will be confusing for the non-diehards: gunmen fire on a canoe that suddenly disapears, the end, and therefore will never be revisited. To me this feels like Comic-con-gate all over again: the writers planted a seed they meant to revisit later, but when the story progressed there was no longer time to execute the original plan. Say it ain't so... :undecide:

Hey! Remember when they planted that four-toed statue seed that we didn't revisit until three years later?

Yeah. That.

Fair point. However, the statue is a mythology-laden landmark and the outrigger chase is action fluff with a sci-fi twist. Still, I hope you're right.

It will be easy for them to fit into season 6, Im just a little confused about where all the boats are/were.

In The Little Prince, how many were on the beach, 2? Then Sawyer and Juliet and the other time travelers took one, and then were soon followed in the other one by unknown people, right? So where are all of them right now in 2007 as of the finale?

I believe there were 3. Lapidus and Sun took the first. Ben and John took the second. There was one left.

Did Juliet kill one of Llana's people during that chase?

Not only did they take 3 years to get back to the statue, but it took them 2 years to revisit Charlie's DS ring as well.

I believe the chase will be addressed next season, as we haven't reached the exact day yet in the timeline of when this happened, although we're probably only a couple of days away at the most. I'm sure it will be addressed.

Well, that's what some people speculate, but I didn't see anything conclusive, and I have a 72 inch HDTV. It didn't appear like anyone got knocked back by a gunshot, but more like they were just moving with the swaying of the boat. Not saying it didn't happen, just that there's nothing conclusive.;)

That's what I remember too GB. So there's still one on the Hydra Island, one at the submarine dock, and one at the beach where Illana, Brahm and Frank came ashore.
