Topic is pretty self-explanatory. I haven't seen any episode rating threads, so I decided to start one (though I agree this episode might not be the most appropriate to do).

I'm giving "Lost: The Journey" a 6: Average, but not Bad. It was a decent overview of what's happened so far on LOST, but could certainly have been better, and in my opinion some of the editing choices were questionable. I'm not sure why "Confidence Man" was so prominently featured. The kiss was great, once again, but the plot arc with Shannon's medicine wasn't even resolved. Time could have been spent more wisely, perhaps by revealing Locke's backstory.

Please vote, and post!

I thought it was good however it did seem to hint to things. Like what the whispers meant and such. I'm not sure what other people thought but I thought it was good but not awesome.

Yikes, who voted for "Watching this should replace the Death Penalty"? Comon--it wasn't that bad .

I gave it a 6. Average, but good. It's still better than anything else on TV at 8, even in this rather distilled form. What ABC did with the promotion shouldn't, and isn't, a factor in my score. If it was, it'd be a hell of a lot lower.

I gave it 5- average, but not good.

I just thought it focused too much on little things. the kiss, for example (my reaction: "do we really need to watch this again?") Plus the narrator guy was kind of obnoxious! I'd rather watch a new episode!.

I gave it a one. I started to switch channels and eventually gave up. The narrator was annoying. It was the worst episode ever.

I gave it a 6 average but not bad. *Think you should have a catagory 'Not what I expected' * *- Guess that tells you what I thought! *I keep thinking they most have chosen those scene because they are important to telling the story (clues???) *but I expected to see some backstory clips that were central to the plot and no off island scenes at all! *One theme that I heard mentioned was about there being others on the island - we're not alone - think at least 3 clips shown had that theme. *So, is that majorly important? *
And ROTFLMAO at *"Watching this should replace the Death Penalty"

It wasn't the best!!

I thought the Narrator Guy was pretty dorky too. He sounded like the guy in "Twilight Zone"... "Imagine this...".

Plus, I usually watch with Closed Captions to catch "every word". But in the second half, I'm seeing the Narrator's dialog come up on the screen in Closed Captions but I'm not hearing it!!! So, the second half seemed a little strange!

It was a good introduction of the characters for people who have not watched LOST but for those of us "die-hards" it was not that good.

And, because I am a Sawyer/Josh fan I didn't think it showed him that much. And The Kiss was the best thing about the whole Special! ;D

I gave it a 1. Boring dreck, didn't surmise every character well, short changed tons of plots. Like I said before, if I was a new viewer I wouldn't have even watched the whole thing. Awful.

I gave it a 3, but better than Homecoming.

I gave it a 4 ....the scenes were too choppy ...and for us fans that watch it every week....we know the back stories which elude to the true mystery of the island ....but for someone who never watched the show....and I had someone viewing with me ...this episode summarized what happened on the island, but it left out a lot of details that were important and I feel would still leave a new viewer lost ...no mention of the numbers, Locke's paralysis, Walt, Claire's psychic reading, etc....I found myself summarizing the back stories during each clip to the person who was watching with me to try to explain all they left out. * In my opinion the stuff they left out is the weirdness that makes this such an awesome show.

At least this one beat the crap out of Desparate Housewives "special" eppie. Now that one made me want the death penalty. :P

I suppose it wouldn't have been that bad, minus the stupid narrator, IF they had've promoted it a little differently. Sure, it was a basic catch up for those that missed things, but I thought the point was to focus on key characters (with backstories) and then discuss the island. Perhaps I was wrong. Anyway, if there had been something better to watch, I would've been watching it.

I voted that it was very bad but that is only because I was expecting more. For a clip show it was average. I thought there would be something else mixed into all the clips from the actors or something. *shrugs* I didn't even watch it fully. It didn't hold my interest.

It was alright (read: watchable) but could have been so much better. The focus on the pilot episode was a little overdone, and I felt they were showing us a lot of "useless" (i.e. not critical) info, like the Kate/Sawyer kiss, Shannon running out of her medicine, Charlie singing "You All Everybody" and Jin giving Claire food (relevant to Jin's character but more important than the numbers and Locke's pre-crash condition? Come on!)

I hope they skip this in international airings.

:-\Pretty disappointing, because I was expecting something new. I guess I missed the news that this was just a recap of other episodes. And yes, the narrator's voice was really and truly awful ::). It didn't seem to fit the show. All I could think of was the old "Twilight Zone" narrations, but at least Rod Serling had a good voice!

Bump back up to the first page.

I wonder how "The Journey" rated for those it was actually meant for, i.e. none of the people who visit The Fuselage . People who actually watched it as an introduction into this wonderful show. Perhaps then we can *truly* comment on whether it failed or not.

I have a couple friends who watch LOST a little more casually (just had a baby so yeah) and don't post. I'll see if they watched The Journey and if they found it enjoyable.

i dont know... it was good...it did basically what i thought it would do, and tahts recap the show. i nkow it wasnt going to be that good because you cant fit all the details and secrets and backstories into a 1 hour show. i think thay could have made it a bit more captivation though...the guy's voice was so annoying! i dont think it would keep too many new viewers interested, but if it somehow did it probablly helped them to understand things a bit easier

I voted 2 !
I thought it was going to be a series of flashback pu in chronological order, that would have been something.
They didn't even shiow that Locke was handicaped before the crash, and and they didn't talk about things that was quite important !
I was really disapointed in this clip show.

Why 2 ? Because no Lost episode, even if it is THAT bad, deserves a 1, or a 0 !

The only reason I gave it a six is because it did have all LOST video.
The naration I could have done without.
I understand the show was not even put together by any of the Lost writer's,
that another company was hired to do this show.

I voted bad. I can understand why ,those of us that have watched every episode multiple
times didn't enjoy the dressed up re-run. I don't believe the casual viewer really benefited
from the ep either and someone ,who had never watched Lost would be completely
Lost :)
