I'd love to say that I liked the episode, but it felt like a rehashed X-Files monster story to me. Mr. Fantasy/Weiss has the potential to be interesting, and it was nice to see Peter/Broyles being out and proactive rather than waiting for the Pattern to come to them...but at the end of the day? I was pretty underwhelmed.

At least there's next week to look forward to.

The season is starting out slow for me. I'll admit to fastforwarding through the gratuitously gross/scary stuff. Maybe I'm just a wimp.

I'm sold on Olivia's super hearing thing. It feels too Heroes to me, and that show has been a major disappointment - so bad connection there.

I do really continue to love the relationship growth between the main characters, and I'm digging Jessup (more of her please) and as always, Astrid and Broyles.

Oh, I should also add that the storyline with the mutant baby was an annoying false lead. Peter picked it up to connect to Olivia's crash, but then they never circled back to realize that the two things were unrelated. Uncharacteristic dropped plot point there.

I should have FFed through the gruesome scenes. Yuck.
