I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this, but it seemed like my best bet.* Like everything I say on the boards, these are just my thoughts and while everyone and his dog are welcome to disagree with me and say so in no uncertain terms, I hope nobody jumps down my throat for bringing this up because, well, somebody's gotta ask, right?

Yeah, Jorge posted during his visit yesterday that he and the cast had a gay old time (no pun intended) reading some fanfic he'd printed out.* I personally was rolling on the floor when I read his answer to the post.* And when you think about it, Dom's had four-plus years of fanfic frenzy of his own and it would be naive to think that he isn't PRO at knowing where to find the stuff online---it's not like they're starting at square one like the guys were with LotR.*

But we're not going to start cluttering the VIP thread with people pimping their own fanfic now that the subject is out in the open, are we?

Andrea's question was legitimate, although I have to admit I cringed a little to read the second bit she'd posted after Jorge responded.* She must have too, though, because she edited the post and now it's fine.* That's cool.* That's a person who can read a post over and go, 'hmmm...maybe that was a little much' and modify her post accordingly.* That's all anybody can ask for.* Kudos to her for bringing it up, because we were all wondering the same thing, of course!

But for the sake of maintaining a relatively mature board where the VIP's like to come and hang out...will there be any rules implemented regarding the pimping of fanfic on the VIP board..?

Don't post stories or excerpts on the VIP boards.* Just post the web address of the story.

Also, post the links only in the actors' sections of the board because the writers are not supposed to read fanfic.

That's my advice.* I have no official standing here, but the Powers That Be would probably tell you something similar.

Well, I'm sure not going to be posting anything...I don't write fanfic.* At the time I first read the posts I was a little concerned that everyone and her dog would be pushing fic on the actors in a less than restrained fashion, and that's something I wasn't excited about.* But it doesn't seem to have become a problem, so I guess it's really a non-issue at this point.
