While rewatching this week's episode there is the beginning montage of Janis coming back to work and The Benfords on holiday etc. I wondered how much time has past between this episode and the last. Are we still close to Halloween or weeks later? They were mentioning we have 4 months til April, I think. So that would put us in January. Anyone recall? Thanks.

I'd say it's maybe the middle of December.

AARON: Well, I'm not giving you a choice anymore. I've been grieving for you for two years, Trace. Hell, I even had, had your grave exhumed two months ago because I was convinced that you were, you were alive.

I wonder if they decided to move around some of the episodes? They've done it before on LOST.

That and Janis healing that fast. It just about has to be what Sam is suggesting. They should be careful of swapping episodes positions as in this series we are pretty much watching the calendar on this side of the fourth wall and thinking it should be the character's calendar too.

I don't think it's past December, because we haven't seen Janis having a drunken fling with a guy on New Year's Eve yet. Remember, during her April 29 ultrasound, she's 17 weeks pregnant, which puts the date of conception at December 31! :msn-wink:

We haven't seen any holiday trappings either. We saw Halloween and you would think this Christmas would be big doings for a lot of people.

Speaking of time passing and it maybe already being December in the show - Does anyone have any ideas about the large "X" mark on Mark's calendar for what looks like it would probably be December 17th?

You can see it fairly well in this cap from Ep. 7:

I find it highly strange that there was nary a hint of Thanksgiving either…

Maybe the GBO killed all the turkeys, too.:chickn4:

In re-watching the episode, the continuity of Aaron and Tracy from the end of 107 to the start of 108 sure points to the last two episodes being linked over a short time, but part of the confusion might be that Aaron says he had Tracy's remains exhumed two months back while he says that also in four months they both will be in Afghanistan in their flashforward. We also have the GBO period to the D-Day period as "six months" but really we have an extra three weeks change in that calendar span.

Aaron's second remark (of four months) sort of points to the present being sometime in December while the exhumation was during the airing of the third episode of 137 Sekunden. That episode aired on 8 Oct. so even though it was two weeks after the series start it was only two days after the GBO. I think we should let this slide as it must be exceedingly hard to synchronize a major network series with the real world. We might see mention of Thanksgiving yet. Even if we don't though, we already have Ned Ned's melatonin to consider as a pre-turkey day gift to us.

Sorry to disagree with you but Secuden was 4 days after the GBO.

"White To Play"
WEDECK: Six Agents resigned this morning. That's a grand total of 18 in the past three days. Now I know we're all more than a little freaked out right now. Everybody in this building is scared or hopeful or confused by what they saw. But unlike everyone outside this building, we have a responsibility to put all that aside because we're the ones people look to when their world goes to pieces.

LLOYD: I, I've been camped out at my son's bedside for three days waiting to meet this mysterious surgeon…

Lloyd didn't get to the hospital until after midnight so it was the 7th of October when he arrived.
Aaron must have had the grave exhumed on Saturday Oct. 10th and the Memorial Service was held on Sunday Oct. 11th.

What I said was still true though as I stated that the third episode aired two days after the GBO date in the show of October 6 and that was all I meant.

I wasn't trying to pin the exact date down but now that you did that research we all know the third episode happened on the series' date of the 10th. With us knowing that, by that episode the PTB had more than caught up to the difference between the "real" series premiere of Sept. 24 and the start of the series with the GBO on Oct. 6, we might think that the show could follow generally in synch with the real world. It might not be that way at all though and probably is not since Janis would need more time to heal before going back on duty. They could certainly have only days elapse between episodes and then jump to weeks passing between two episodes for all we know. Since they are skipping next week's episode due to Thanksgiving they have two weeks of our calendar to play with before the next airs.

I wonder if wiki has started a timeline like they did for LOST?

Well, if that is the case, then episode 9, "Believe", is sometime in December. The NSA agent stated that the phone message to Demetri (which red-flagged him as a risk) was intercepted by the NSA's wire tapping program "a couple of months ago". Since she was not specific in the number of weeks, we can not be sure exactly when episode 9 occurs on the calendar, but I think it is safe to put it after December 1, 2009.

(I wonder how people who survived the GBO would handle a Thanksgiving holiday in any case.)

Now that would be nice, Sam. One thing from even before the beginning of the series is that it's been said many times that the period from the GBO to D-Day was "six months" but that is a very crude term. It's really closer to seven months (only short by five days) and that does give a method that nearly a month could be pushed or pulled when thinking of events.
