That Hatch door HAS to be magnetical! Check for the scene where Locke thows the flashlight at Boone and it fell right on the door... It was like glued to the door, it didnt move and the sound of it...

cool---so now..what kind of vessels use magnetic doors? i am far from an expert on this topic.....anyone ...anyone.....could it be a submarine ???

I never thought of that. The flashlight did seem to hit with more of a "thud" than a "clang". That sure is an interresting concept of it operating with magnetics. Good catch! ;)

yeah and i read some theories about a magnetic field on the island that took down the plane... but i dont think that really can be cause if there would be a magnetic field, EVERY kind of iron would have been hard to pick up ---> problems with the raft, watches, etc.

and the people would have noticed it of course... but i dont know about the hatch door... :D
