View Full Version : Favorite Non-Lost Ships
wheres_donnie 12-06-2004, 10:57 PM Out of lost, my biggest ship is probably TEHOT3OMG!!1!!! TEH OT3 is Syd/Weiss/Vaughn from Alias. They are the one true three[some]! I'm also a big shipper of Buffy/Spike, Willow/Oz,(both from Buffy) Seth/Summer(from the OC), Veronica/Logan(from Veronica Mars), Large/Sam(from Garden State), Ron/Hermione(Harry Potter), Jack/Irina(Alias), Donnie/Gretchen(Donnie Darko), and probably some others IO can't think of.
What are YOUR favorite Non-Lost ships?
kristie 12-07-2004, 02:14 PM let's see.. from BTVS: Buffy/Spike, Giles/Joyce, liked both Oz/Willow and Tara/Willow, (but not kennedy/willow)
ATS : Cordy/Doyle, and I liked Gunn/Fred in the beginning, then like Wes/Fred LOL
Joan of Arcadia: Joan/Adam , Luke/Grace
Veronica Mars : Veronica/Logan
ThirdWatch Faith/Bosco , Carlos/Holly
that's all I can think of at the moment LOL
Andrea 12-07-2004, 02:27 PM Ohhh my. This'll be a lonnng list =)
Star Trek: TOS - Kirk/Spock (original gangstas!), Spock/Uhura, Sarek/Amanda
Star Trek: TNG - Big Imzadi shipper, but Picard/Crusher and Data/Lore were guilty pleasures
Star Trek: DS9 - Miles/Keiko/Julian = OT3!
Star Trek: VOY - Paris/Kim, Paris/Seven
Star Trek: ENT - Trip/Hoshi
Smallville - Clark/Lex, Chloe/Whitney
Angel: The Series - Fred/Wesley, Wesley/Lila
Young Americans - Hamilton/Jake
Nip/Tuck - Kimber/Christian
Everwood - Bright/Ephram. If I had to pick one 'ship out of all of them, this'd be it.
Jeremiah - Jeremiah/Theo
24 - Jack/Nina
There's probably a few more, but those are my hardcore loves.
Prncssleia 12-07-2004, 04:58 PM All I have to say is JACK/NINA! Not my cup of tea (lying hobag)
All right, that isn't all I have to say...can you forgive me?
BTVS: Buffy/Spike, Willow/Oz, Xander/Cordy
Angel: Fred/Wes
Everwood: Ephram/Madison
DC: Joey/Pacey
Stephanie
Andrea 12-07-2004, 05:11 PM Yessss Nina was incredibly evil. But they were smokin' hot together. ;) I love the angst and twisted complicated relationships. It's why I love Kimber/Christian too.
Much love for Joey/Pacey. Since the DC *pilot episode* even. The model for all One True Pairing 'shipping on all teen dramas everywhere. But strackany, how can you hate Jack/Nina because she's a lying hobag, and ship Ephram/Madison? :lol2:
Prncssleia 12-07-2004, 11:35 PM :lol2:
I'll tell you why, Andrea...I watched season 3 of 24 before I watched 1 & 2, but I watched Everwood from almost the beginning...even though my kids scream through half of it (without fail) so hearing the characters is very difficult.
I thought Madison/Ephram were cute together...Amy/Ephram bores the snot out of me.
Stephanie
Karrie 12-08-2004, 01:58 AM Roswell:
Max & Liz
Michael & Maria
Alex & Isabel
(and I would have liked to see Kyle & Tess)
Passions:
Ethan & Theresa
Fox & Whitney
That's it!
Prncssleia 12-08-2004, 09:40 AM Speaking of ships...they played my FAVE BTVS ep this morning... Passion! I was very Jenny/Giles...this ep is so sad!
Stephanie
Andrea 12-08-2004, 01:30 PM I've watched Everwood since the beginning too. It and Lost are my 2 favorite shows right now. I'm hearing that Everwood may move to Wednesdays next year, and if it's at 8PM, I'll be heartbroken. Or get TiVo. Whatever. =)

Hee hee. My son chatters through most of it too, but what I was referring to was the recent revelation that Madison lied right to Andy's face about always having been "careful" with Ephram. I never liked them because of the way she "sweetie'd" both him and Delia to death. But then, I'm not an Amy/Ephram shipper either. =)
Topic: on The OC, I'm just wild about Seth/Summer.
Prncssleia 12-08-2004, 02:46 PM I've never watched the OC...my only guilty pleasure (read: teen soap) has been Dawson's and now Everwood. (of course, back when I was a pre-teen, it was 90210! LOL)...I'm trying to get into Veronica Mars, but I never can catch a whole show.
Stephanie
katejones 12-08-2004, 05:56 PM Most of this is totally over my head since I haven't seen many of the shows you guys are talking about. I was however a huge Roswell fan and complete Candy Girl (Michael & Maria fan) and Stargazer (Alex & Isabel fan.) I also love Alias and would consider myself a Guardian Angel (Syd & Vaughn fan) although I also love Will. On Buffy I liked Buffy & Spike together and Willow & Oz. I lost interest in Dawson's Creek after a few years but I liked Pacey & Joey from the beginning. I was glad they ended up together.
Andrea, thank you! Now I finally know what the h*ll OTP is supposed to mean! :lol2:
wheres_donnie, please don't say Kawyer. It's weird. We are Skaters! :) Usually I don't like acronym ship names or names that just combine character names, (Like Sate?!? WTF?) but Skate is at least a word and works with Skater Girl or Skater Boy.

ROTFLOL!
Um, yeah I do too - I started out as a Syd/Vaughn shipper but that lasted only until Season 2 when Irina came around and let's just say I quickly changed my shippery status to her and Jack....not to mention I have developed a thing for SpyDaddy ;D
crsty1961 12-18-2004, 03:14 PM Y'know..our avatars look funny together. It's like Dom and Billy are having a conversation.
Ah but isn't that the way it's supposed to be? I have to admit I wish we could see them together more, they are such a great comedy duo.
MorwenLaicoriel 12-18-2004, 04:10 PM Ah but isn't that the way it's supposed to be? I have to admit I wish we could see them together more, they are such a great comedy duo.
^_^ Yeah. Here's hoping the movie works out.
crsty1961 12-18-2004, 05:37 PM ^_^ Yeah. Here's hoping the movie works out.
Oh yes That would be awesome, but I do hope they do more together than that. :)
MorwenLaicoriel 12-18-2004, 05:41 PM Well, yeah, I hope so, too. ^_^ At the same time, I hope they're not matched together *too* much, because I'd be worried that they'd turn into some sort of comedy duo and not really be respected as individual actors. Or...dramatic actors, for that matter.
crsty1961 12-18-2004, 05:54 PM True but what is wrong with being a comedy duo? I think they have the potential of being like Hope/Crosby or Martin/Lewis. I kinda miss the great comedy duo's, no one is doing that now a days. :-\
MorwenLaicoriel 12-18-2004, 06:37 PM Well, there's nothing wrong with comedy duos. I just don't want to see them get typecast. ^^ Because I think they're both great actors who can play such broad ranges of characters, both dramatic and comedic.
willow 12-19-2004, 11:55 AM I don't care much for pairings actually but here's what I at least liked ... ::)
Harry Potter:
Ron/Hermione (book) or Harry/Hermione ( films)
LOTR:
Faramir/Eowyn
Buffy:
Willow/Oz
Buffy/Spike
;D
Prncssleia 12-19-2004, 10:54 PM You guys are the only people I know who have read Pride and Prejudice...I have 2 favorite books and this is one of them! I have read this book 8 times!!!!! I love Darcy/Elizabeth!
Stephanie
Hekawi 12-19-2004, 11:12 PM Spike/anybody at all - he has enough charisma for two people!
Another Darcy/Elizabeth here, and I can't mention them without Jane Eyre/Mr. Rochester.
I love Veronica Mars, and don't think any of those boys are good enough for her.
Templeton 12-20-2004, 01:16 AM Stephanie, what's your other favorite book besides P&P?
How sad that Austen is not read as widely as she once was. 'Course, it's even harder to find people who've read Dorothy Dunnett, who is probably my all-time favorite author.
Cheers,
Templeton
Prncssleia 12-20-2004, 01:38 PM Templeton,
My other fave is The Stand by Stephen King...These two have been my favorite books for about 10 years...I read them both in high school. Nothing else has measured up to them! I love Emma and Sense and Sensibility was pretty good, but Pride and Prejudice is just the best to me! I have always pictured Darcy as James Spader! LOL!
Stephanie
Templeton 12-20-2004, 03:39 PM Stephanie,
I agree with you about The Stand -- that's up there among my favorite books, too. Stephen King's best novel, IMO.
Have you seen the BBC production of P & P from a few years ago? Colin Firth as Darcy? The best-ever version, I think. If you haven't seen it, run, don't walk, to your local video store.
And you probably already know this, but Bridget Jones' Diary was inspired by Pride and Prejudice, so having Colin Firth in the role of Mark Darcy is a hoot.
And then there's Clueless, which is a contemporary version of Emma.
Templeton
Hekawi 12-20-2004, 11:33 PM The only problem with Jane Austen's novels is that there aren't enough of them! I think she was only 42 when she died. I loved Persuasion with Amanda Root and Ciaran HInds, and there is a decent Mansfield Park. I wish someone would do Northanger Abbey - it was Austen's spoof of contemporary romance novels.
The old P&P, with Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier, is good, even though it's the Reader's Digest version.
Loved Clueless!
Prncssleia 12-21-2004, 02:26 AM I haven't seen the BBC production...I usually hate it when they make my favorite books into movies...but I will give it a try next time I'm at the video store...
And I love Clueless and even the Gwyneth Paltrow version of Emma...I loved Bridget Jone's Diary, too...I did laugh at that Mark Darcy portrayal (I knew C Firth played Darcy in the movie, even though I haven't seen it).
I said this in another thread, but I have a strange affection for Clueless and 10 Things I Hate You, because they are adaptations of novels I love!
Thanks,
Stephanie
