One question:
where do electricity on the island comes from? In every hatch they just switch on and there are lights?

I was under the impression that the Dharma station that Goodwin eventually worked at served as a source of electricity as well as some chemical stuff.

That was my impression too. (The Tempest)
How that power is/was generated is so far, unknown.
(Geo-thermal, Nuclear, Wind, Hydro)

I wondered originally about this and came to the same conclusion you did, then I forgot about it . But I don't think we will ever know for sure now.

By using a conductor with the large magnet buried under the Island.
Electromagnetic induction or something like that.
That or the giant hamster.

In a deleted scene, Ben told Locke that there are giant hamsters on wheels under the island. I believe this will be revealed as the only time Ben was telling the truth :)

I don't think that was deleted. I'm pretty sure that was in 'The Man From Tallahassee.'
I assume there's some sort of station that generates electricity. Could be the Tempest.
I don't know as we'll get a definite answer on this. I doubt that it will be integral to the plot.

I could have swore I read somewhere (perhaps Lostpedia or The Lost Experience ARG) that electricity was generated via geo-thermal vents deep within the Island (i.e. volcanic activity)
The Tempest station being a power plant I think was a cover story for its true nature, which was the manufacture of toxic gas. Goodwin told Juliet that he worked at the "power plant" and got a bad electrical burn, but she called him out on it and told him that she wouldn't tell anyone about his "chemical burn" of he didn't tell his wife what Juliet said about her :)

In "Everybody Hates Hugo" Sayid guesses that the Swan's source of power is a geothermal generator. He tells this to Jack when they are crawling around under the main floor trying to get in to the "incident room."

Yep, and we all know Sayid's speculations regarding electrical things always seem to be on point. I believe there might have also been evidence that they harnessed geothermal energy when Olivia was discussing the volcano.
Of course, it's probably the giant hamster.

I'm sticking with the giant hamster ;)
