Jewel ;D GettinLost 05-06-2005, 01:11 AM This was a really good article!!! He was very verbal!!! The entire article is him talking!! I bet when he gets on a role there is no shutting him up!!! I just LOVE that!! :lol2: He had some great comments about his character. Sabretooth 05-06-2005, 07:40 AM he talked about shooting that Angel episode all night, then going home, cracking open a beer and watching the sun come up,and thinking to himself,"this acting thing might be harder than I thought.." sugr4sawyr 05-06-2005, 12:14 PM I couldn't find this magazine at the bookstore...can anyone scan the article? Ash 05-07-2005, 01:49 AM I I've always gotten a Han Solo vibe from Sawyer, for me this is confirmation too cool 8) addicted2much 05-07-2005, 08:02 PM Han Solo is my favorite from the Star Wars..........Universe sbdj2m 05-08-2005, 12:55 AM I finally found a store in my city that has that mag. I'll be picking it up next week " :D Marystat 05-08-2005, 02:43 AM Nobody has a scan of this article? Starlog isnt avaliable in Norway :( Sabretooth 05-08-2005, 08:30 AM Starlog can be found at most Barnes and Nobles and comic shops. Ash 05-09-2005, 12:48 PM no scans but here are a couple quotes "What intrests me about him is his fight for humanity "Holloway notes "I love his edge, and there's a certain power in coming from an"I don't give a bleep"place."Walking that line is enjoyable, and I don't want him to get all soft. I don't want Sawyer to become some Zen master .At the same time .I don't want him to be killed right away , either. So I've gotta fight for his humanity .One of my favorite episodes is the first show after the pilot. where I shot the marshal ,but didn't kill him." "as far as my other favorites ,I loved WTCMB.and I enjoy my episodes ,of course.CM was a blast.I like physical acting and getting down and dirty .I also loved Outlaws because of its dichotomous mix of tense moments and comedy.I adore comedy.I'm kind of goofy in life so it was fun to play both of those aspects" "I love it" Holloway says of the Sawyer-Kate-Jack romantic entanglement"Honestly when I first was reading Sawyer's stuff . I was thinking ,Oh man,he's dead right away. He's the first one people are going to vote off the island. So I was happy the triangle developed.I don't know if they planned that, but I tend to think they did because those people have like four brains apiece." "I also believe part of it had to do with our chemistry on set,and that J.J. spent the entire pilot ,the whole month, with us.He was with us every day on set,and we would go out at night. Then they started tailoring the characters to the personalities they had cast .They saw in the piiot that scene where I pull Kate in-when she tries to give me my gun back and we share that little moment-and that may have sparked something with the writers;"Ooh we could develop this".Then again ,they probably had it planned the whole time, but who knows ?I love the way Lost has progessed .I'm impressed with the back and forth of it ,and how they're able to stretch it out , but not make it cliched. Its briliantly done , and I have no idea where its heading." addicted2much 05-09-2005, 01:31 PM Thanks Ash I've only been to one store looking , so far but I shall keep on until the Starlog is mine. Ash 05-09-2005, 02:16 PM '."Sawyer took another man's life."he remarks "and it was the wrong person .Of course that would stick with someone .You hear people who have been in the military talk about killing somebody who was about to kill them and how that sticks with them for the rest of their lives.Well imagine if you killed someone you had no right to.My God,then you're really gonna pay for it. "Much of that is Sawyer's own guilt .He has a self-loathing need to punish himself .I don't how that works ,though so once again I'm projecting. We work for the CIA , I swear.because the (writers and producers)don't tell us anything. But like I said before,I think this island is a big mirror to every-body's soul ,and I think its going to teach them something .People are going to be forced to grow out of the box of their normal lives and perceptions;things have to change. " As far as my career I would love to do an Indiana Jones - type triogy or something of that nature.Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors.I admire how he can be extremely real and dramatic, but also comedic.I would be delighted to be involved in that kind of work,or to do Johnny Depp-type roles. His diversity of character work is amazing ,and I truly believe this show will provide a platform to that".
