Merch 03-30-2010, 10:27 PM I don't know. This was no Recon, which was the weakest episode of the season, imo, but it was like an episode filled with anticipation that never came to fruition. A few good lines, a couple scenes that were okay, but I was left shocked that the entire hour was gone and nothing really happened. Desmond on the sub was so unshocking that I'd be shocked if anyone was actually surprised at seeing him. So Widmore wants to keep the man in black from leaving as well. That was interesting, more so because it may start to paint Widmore in a different light than he's been viewed the last few seasons. Either he was never such a villian all along, or something changed for him between 2004 and 2007. Maybe the loss of his daughter to Desmond. Very disappointed Ab Aeterno wasn't aired prior. With only one hour of Lost, I'm feeling a bit disappointed. TerryLuna 03-31-2010, 01:27 AM As Keamy tieing up Jin in the cooler: mentions something about "the island" and not having Jin 'freaking out', did I mishear the Audio? Sam G 03-31-2010, 02:15 AM No, that's what I heard too. Briolette 03-31-2010, 02:25 AM Hmmm. (I gotta quit saying that...) Seems that the "convergence" is going to be exponential... I'm waiting for a "swish". I was disappointed that we didn't see the last episode before the new one... Richardus was so excellente... what a shame... I admit it seemed only 20 minutes of LOST... vs 40 minutes of commercials... time goes fast when your having fun... slow when your watching commercials... course, it did give us time to speculate... Piecar 04-03-2010, 03:00 PM I thought we covered a lot of ground...But the character oriented stuff was so pale, that I find that I have nothing much to add either way on it. I don't find the Jin/Sun interplay all that compelling. And the father keeping the unworthy away from his daughter is the same story as the Des/Penny dynamic, so who cares? I fast forwarded thru the pillow talk scene. I had to laugh at the darts scene, because I predicted it would happen. Same stuff as every ep. "I'm Going To Find Sun!" and then nothing. I was waiting to see what they would come up with to stop him this time. It's a joke now. And Sun's version of the scene was similarly pathetic. Frankly, boiled down to the base elements...I just don't care a whit about this story line. The other side, though, I thought was pretty good. Locke and Widmore on the beach was a cool scene. Ninja Sayid was good. Finding out that I was right about Smokey On The Water was great. And that I was wrong about Des In The Locker was good. The Nerd Brigade cracks me up. And at least someone has a plan. Richard changing his mind for what seems like the fourth time and initiating something on spurious evidence is interesting. So, as always, the Flash Sideways stuff really, really, really, quite a whole bunch, is dull useless TV. The Island stuff is getting interesting. Keamy alive on the floor is cheese tv. D3VANT3 04-05-2010, 01:59 PM Yeah this episode seemed like it was only 10 minutes long, which was unusual for a lost episode. It seemed like not a lot happened... it was an ok episode and revealed a few things, but it just flew by. That never happened with many of the other episodes. |
