First time starting a thread, bear with me.

We did get lots of answers in this episode, but there was one missing. Where was Locke while Boone was dieing? We know he was banging on the hatch door and the light came on. But what then? This should probably go under speculation, but did he enter the Hatch? When he returned, Locke was back to his serene, at peace with the island self.

They should have made Locke fess up as to where he was. This is what drove me crazy. More than anything else, I would want to know why he left after he dropped Boone off to Jack and what he was doing all that time.

I know, I just don't get it, they asked him every question except for the important question.....Why did he leave when Boone was in critical condition and why did he lie the night before only to come back and tell the truth the next morning?!?!!?!!?

Then, Locke starts making you feel soryy for him b/c *whiny voice* "Jack called him a liar in front of everyone"

Well maybe it's because he LIED TO EVERYONE!!!

Note to Locke fans.....don't hate me....I still like Locke and by the end of the episode WAS feeling sorry for him, but he can't get mad at Jack for calling him out on being a liar when he actually did lie

Yeah, that makes no sense. Lying to Jack about how Boone got hurt was pointless since he fessed up the next morning anyway. He had to have been doing something while he was gone.

My initial thought was that Locke lied on purpose thinking Boone would do exactly what he did, talk about the plane and the Hatch. I am guessing that at some point we will find out that Locke got into the Hatch that night the light came on. That is twice Locke has had the most, "intimate" is the best way I can phrase it, encounter with the island and the show has said nothing. The first being Locke staring at the crane camera.

Locke just knows things about people and the island somehow lets him know. I want to know why the island chose him.

You're welcome!! Wow, I just went back and re-read what I wrote....I guess I was a bit angry this morning! :D

But I still don't understand why there is such a lack of communication. I understand that there has to be some mystery, but really, all of these people are portrayed as being highly intelligent:
Sayid - communications officer/spy
Jack- Doctor
Boone- runs multi-million dollar company
Sawyer - Con-man...in my opinion it takes someone who's pretty smart to be able to con another out of that much money
Kate- learned from her father who was in army/con-woman (see above)

So why don't they start asking questions themselves. If it were me, I would have a notebook and pencil and write down EVERYTHING anyone said.
