Wouldn't Richard have MORE reason to lie to Sawyer then FauxLocke lying to Sawyer?
Richard is totally loyal to Jacob and is currently sissed at Faux, on the other hand if FauxLocke wants to go home then he will tell Sawyer what ever he wants to hear.

When FauxLocke told Sawyer 'you have come so far, don't go back now' I believed John because that is so true, Sawyer has come farther than any of the Losties.

As you know from my last seasons post I have been just about the only one who thought Jacob should have been kicked into that fire. I think maybe Locke/smokie needs are not of the sinister kind. No one has questioned why the gal sent there to protect Jacob has such a pretty face. Wasn't she all bandaged up when Jacob came to see her? She doesn't have any scars.

Why would he have to tell Sawyer the truth? I'm still betting Flocke is the evil one. Richard said "he wants to hurt everyone you care about." This seems like an almost personal statement. Perhpas Flocke hurt Richard's family/friends. Whatever happened, Richard seems genuinely terrified. Somehow I doubt that Flocke has been the nicest neighbor to Richard.

Hence my thread title, lol  I agree, it seems as if Richard knows from personal experience what FauxLocke has up his sleeve.
Sawyer has no one he cares about. :eek2:

Flocke did save Sawyer when he was falling on the crazy ladder down the cliff, which shocked me.

Nope, I'm with you on that. I've disliked Jacob since I first saw his annoyingly-smug face in The Incident.
