View Full Version : "Someone bad is coming."
Diesels Blitz 02-23-2010, 10:05 PM MIB is going to the Temple, with Claire! :eek2: I don't think we learned anything that could help determine if MIB is really the bad guy, but obviously in Jacob's eyes he is. The question is, what is MIB going to do once he gets there? Kill everyone? Use Claire as a distraction and sneak up on them? We know she is going to do whatever it takes to get Aaron (even though he's not there). Let the debate begin....
Devera 02-24-2010, 01:15 AM Was he referring to Locke, or was he referring to her? She seemed scary to me.
evanesco75 02-24-2010, 01:25 AM And who does Jacob want to get to the Island? Des? Or is it Widmore?
And who does Jacob want to get to the Island? Des? Or is it Widmore?
Jacob doesn't necessarily have to be bringing someone to the island. The whole lighthouse scene was to get Jack to see what was in the mirror, his house. Now he has to figure out whatever it is he's suppose to figure out.
If Jacob wants to bring someone to the island, the name beside 108 was "Wallace." Walt anyone..?
Ambergris 02-24-2010, 04:08 AM I guess it has to be FLocke. Jacob said it's too late to save them, so they will probably all have to convert or die. I already suggested that Miles might join the smoke monster because of their similar ability to read dead people's minds. And well, Claire is with FLocke now, there is no difference. I guess this confirms that "Claire's" Christian Shephard was the Smoke Monster.
Adam118 02-24-2010, 04:49 AM And who does Jacob want to get to the Island? Des? Or is it Widmore?
I think he either lied or meant that, spiritually, he wanted Jack to be with the island and Jack was the target.
Calliope 02-24-2010, 05:11 AM I'm beginning to think that someone bad is Christian. Claire's "friend" is Flocke, and she states that her friend and her father told her that Aaron was taken by the Others, so MiB/Smokey/Flocke and Christian seem to be two separate entities, in Claire's eyes at least.
theVOID 02-24-2010, 05:18 AM 108 was "wallace" so i guess he's someone important we haven't met.
Diesels Blitz 02-24-2010, 05:55 PM Was he referring to Locke, or was he referring to her? She seemed scary to me.
I wouldn't be surprised if he meant Claire to surprise the audience. I'm guessing the majority of the audience assumes Flocke/MIB is the bad person who is coming. We still don't know what Claire is capable of. I have a feeling that guy she killed was right when he told Jin "She's going to kill us both."
beema 02-24-2010, 06:00 PM As much as I would love to see Smokey attack the Temple and obliterate all the dumb thumb-twiddling Others, it was pretty disheartening to see Jacob give such little care for a whole group of people who have spent their lives devoted to him.

I'm hoping he is someone we HAVE met already. Does there really need to be more new characters introduced this late in the game? We have enough to contend with already that have unresolved histories. Remember how they introduced Ilana last season? What exactly has she done besides make vague assumptions and cry? I'd still like to learn her importance to the show before we go bounding off on the trail of some other new guy.

TPTB throw new people at us on a regular basis. It could be anyone or no one we have met.

True - but then again if this is all building to some greater purpose (say, changing the timeline to the Alt-timeline so none of the 816-crash timeline ever happens) then I can see why apparently Jacob and the Others don't seem to care too much about losing their lives or killing others.
I've often wondered why the Others seem to be so callous about killing and so willing to sacrifice themselves, this might explain it.
KDLOST 02-24-2010, 06:32 PM i assumed that it was claire when he said 'someone bad'... but then 'her friend' came along and i therefore assumed it could be both claire and 'her friend' locke? this version of claire is so creepy. how weird is it that she and locke and the crib are still together after all of these years... although none of them 'holds' the same thing as it did before... ooooh, spooky.
Piecar 02-24-2010, 06:39 PM Listen, Claire is, and always has been, a vacuous inane twit. She has been manipulated used and deluded for the entire run of the show. The way the actress is playing it now, she's just as duped and used as ever. Three years running around an island by yourself, could make you a little callous about death....I assume that The Entity(I am tired of the MiB moniker) has pitted her against the Temple Shmucks (I am tired of the Others moniker. Who calls themselves Others? It's stupid. It's just a name the Losties came up with when they didn't know who they were dealing with)for his own amusement. She's just dumb and easily lied to...She isn't bad in any real sense. The bad guy is The Shape in Locke's Body
lundi 02-24-2010, 07:48 PM Jacob tells Hurley that, "I wanted to get you as far away from there as possible". Does that imply that the place is going to blow up? (sounds like it.. otherwise you'd say, 'I wanted to get you out of there').
But that being said, is everyone in there going to die? That's a lot of people. Mind you, the only Lostie in there right now is Sayid. Jin, Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sawyer are all out on their own adventures. It looks like Sayid is toast.. the Others want to kill him, and possibly Claire will blow the place up with him in it.
foreverfaraday 02-24-2010, 09:00 PM so i wonder where sawyer is if its going to be MIB and claire

Better question....where is Sawyer? I didn't see him behind "Claire's friend." I don't see him sitting on his duff while MiB is out scouting around.
secretninja 02-24-2010, 10:34 PM i think that 'someone bad' going to the temple is ilana.
Calliope 02-25-2010, 05:58 PM Good old Hurley. It was so good to see his reaction: warn the people there. Sheesh. Dead Jacob (if it's him) really couldn't care less about his devoted followers.
Ralph C 02-25-2010, 07:41 PM Maybe that's what the dynamite that Jin saw at is for-- to blow up the Temple. Another thing about that dynamite: it looked brand new. Perhaps Claire found it in her roaming around the jungle. There were things left behind by Widmore's people from the boat, I suppose, and the dynamite was one of those things.

Yes, Smocke and Claire are going to the Temple. Smocke will use Claire as he used Locke to gain access to Jacob. The Losties all want to know what happened to Claire and if she's still alive on the island. Using Claire is a good strategy for Smocke. :fear3:
JPolarBear 02-25-2010, 09:26 PM 108 was "wallace" so i guess he's someone important we haven't met.
other threads here mostly support the "Desmond for Wallace" theory and that he will come sailing back in his boat with little Charlie and Penny in tow. The idea would have to be that his mother's maiden name was Wallace or something?
and:
Episode 6.11 is said on DarkUFO to be Desmond Centric.."Happily Ever After"
Having it be a longer version of Walt is good too. but Walt is usually short for Walter.

Miles is at the Temple with Sayid.
Sun, Ben, Ilana and Frank are on their way to the Temple.
It looks like NotLocke, Claire and Jin are also heading to the Temple.
Hopefully it will finally bring about the Sun and Jin reunion.
