I noticed this the second time I watched the ep, and each time I rewatch it, it gets funnier.
Watch the scene between Jack and Hurley in the Lighthouse, just prior to Jack smashing the mirrors. (From "I wanna know why he's been watching me..." onward)
Does anyone else think this looks almost like a spoof of Lost, as if they took an intense scene between say...Jack and Juliet in season 3 when Jacks in a fish tank...or Jack vs. Ben, and superimposed Hurley into it. It just seems like the intensity levels are off between the two characters....
Or to put it another way...
How bad is Jack at anger managment? How easy does the guy get worked up? I mean hurley was giving him no ammo lol.
Seriously folks, you send him into a picturesque lighthouse at the sea, with the most passive person on the Island, and five minutes later...is that the sound of shouting and breaking glass? Of course it must be Jack!
Hurley's darn lucky he didn't get his faced punched in lol...

When you desribe it that way it makes me giggle, but at the time I wasn't laughing.

Yeah, it sounds funny, but I wasn't laughing one bit. I was stunned at the idea that Jacob had been watching, literally watching our guys all along. And I was beyond chuffed when he smashed the mirror, because the thought of someone observing/ controlling your life is scary and icky and just plain wrong.

I wondered why the second Jack picked up the telescope and headed towards the mirror Hurley didnt understand THAT is exactly why Jacob wanted Jack there!

And to be fair, Hurley done some pretty random destructive things as well when he's been confused. He threw that walkie talkie into the ocean.......oh yeah, he whipped that Hot Pocket at Ben's noggin! Fresh out of the microwave, those things can burn you pretty bad if the insides splatter on you!

Yes, Jacob was totally ok with what Jack did. I'm thinking the mirror can't be used now, since Jacob's dead. These candidates are it, and the 'it only ends once' moment approaches.

I'm thinking on the ground floor, under the stairs, is a supply closet marked "Replacment Magic Mirrors". But no one saw it, because they werent looking for it :p

Theres also an emergancy panel which reads "In case of Jack Shephard, Break Glass"

I was actually scared for Hurley. Jack looked pretty dangerous with that pipe in his hands...

That was a telescope. Smashing up the lighthouse just wasn't enough lol. Jack was still getting off from showing Hurley the coffin he smashed up previously, and the telescope had to go too.
This is the reason why no one can have nice things on the island lol

First time I watched it, I was too excited by everything else that was going on with the lighthouse. The second time around, I couldn't help but laugh. Between Jack flipping out on Hurley, Dogen refusing to answer questions because Jack won't understand, and the mess of an episode that is "What Kate Does," this show is starting to become a parody of itself, if it wasn't already.
