So going along with the possibility that Jack is the new Jacob, are we possibly seeing Jack bringing his first person to the Island?

First, we are assuming that it is Jack that will replace him. Chances are good for that, but not 100%.

If Jack does assume the role, why would he be bringing people to the island? Is he finding candidates to replace him, right after he just achieved this role ?
