We know that a lot of intervention ocured in the losties lives. we are lead to believe that by detonating the bomb, that intervention didn't occur, and their lives are how they would have been in the first place.
the big one is Jack having a son. BUT (a big but)
Jack was still on flight 815. He was still bringing his father's coffin back to America. He still had the same old truck:drowsy:
Kate was still in custody.
Claire was still pregnant, and wanting to get rid
Locke was still in a wheelchair, and had still survived the fall. so he had still been 'revived'
Hurley has still won the lottery, despite the numbers not being transmitted from the island.
Rose and Bernard were still there. Sun and Jin. Charlie. all the things that conspired to put them all on 815 had still occured.
the only difference is that Desmond was on the flight, and Jack has a son.
so how alternative is it really?
