Widmore was off the island during the “Juliette bomb incident.” Therefore the Widmore we see on the sub should be a “sideways” version. Is he the key to brining the two timelines together?

View Full Version : Will Widmore bring the timelines together? UppaCreek 03-15-2010, 02:38 PM Widmore was off the island during the “Juliette bomb incident.” Therefore the Widmore we see on the sub should be a “sideways” version. Is he the key to brining the two timelines together? Fierro 03-15-2010, 03:21 PM ???? Where did you get the idea that this Widmore is a sideways version?????? arainvil 03-15-2010, 05:13 PM Huh. I think you may be all kinds of confused. A couple of hours before Juliette set off the bomb, Widmore was in the Other's camp holding Eloise's bumb that contained a fetus Daniel while a grown Daniel was dead on the ground. He was definitely on the Island looking like the lead singer of a grunge band (this was '77, he was expelled sometime just after the Purge). The whole "something in one timeline is from the other timeline" is lost on me until someone explains how it could make any sense. reebty 03-15-2010, 11:56 PM We'll know when the timelines start bleeding into each other. enigma420 03-16-2010, 06:14 AM Widmore is bringing coke and women of loose morals. BillToons 03-16-2010, 01:20 PM Widmore is bringing coke and women of loose morals. Hot cha cha cha! chemgirl81 03-16-2010, 01:30 PM Widmore is bringing coke and women of loose morals. I kinda hope he might also bring Penny and Desmond. I am pretty sure not but here's to hoping. Avius 03-16-2010, 01:43 PM Widmore is bringing coke and women of loose morals. Isn't that what got him tossed off the island in the first place? UppaCreek 03-16-2010, 06:40 PM Huh. I think you may be all kinds of confused. A couple of hours before Juliette set off the bomb... Not confused. Just see the results of the incident differently than you all. I believe that the incident changed everything: created an entirely new timeline starting from year one, not just from 1977. Hence, Ben & Daddy leave the island (apparently of their own accord) well before the purge. Jack had a kid long before he got on flight 815. etc. etc. Nothing seems to have changed for the folks still on the island, however. So all I am saying is that it will be interesting to see Widmore's story, as someone who was "outside the bubble" and now returning to the island. IS he in flash-sideways land? Or is their some weird gap between 2004 flash-sideways land and the "real" 2007? arainvil 03-16-2010, 06:58 PM Bubble theory. Very interesting, could have legs. I like that a lot and it would be a cool way to go. However, If Ben and dad did leave Island, why would Widmore not be on it. What do you think the conditions would be to have a Widmore leave the Island before it sank after the Incident, yet wait 30 years to return and how would he have found the "bubble" of unchanged time? That's why Sideways Jack could run into the Japanese guy at the conservatory -- his son never had the accident and Jacob never recruited him. |
