If nothing else TPTB has set up what could be one of the most fun board games out there when this is said and done.

"I want to be MIB. You were MIB last time!" Two sides. Black and White. One person is Jacob, one is MIB (maybe one other side will be revealed before it is done, I have no idea). More people can play as candidates with their own free will. The game starts with 360 candidates (or however many were on the dial)

As Jacob you try and bring candidates to the island through planes, boats, and subs. MIB's job is to wipe off all of the candidates by the time the timer goes off. There are two times on the timer, one is when Jacob dies, and then another one for when the game is over. If the timer goes off and MIB is still on the island, he is stuck there and Jacob wins. MIB has to kill all candidates that he can through manipulation, kill Jacob and then convert the remaining candidates to leave the island with him.

Alternatively Jacob sacrificing himself could just be a dangerous tactic in the game that disallows trying to convert candidates after his death, like sacrificing your queen strategically.

You also need a sub pilot or Lapidus in order to access those two methods of transport off the island.

You try and convert candidates to your cause who ultimately can help you kill other candidates (MIB) or protect candidates. You pick up cards like "Ilana Protection" which can save a character from a potential death or "Temple Springs" Heal one character that has just died (you roll a die to see if they turn towardsJacob or MIB side though). "Sonar Fence" which can protect from MIB.

You can also get the valuable "FDW Reset", if things aren't going your way for either side.

That's all Lost was. A set up for a new board game.

Anything anybody wants to add?

Wasn't there a Lost board game a few years ago where you have to get people more people on your side than the other players? I think it had something to do with tiles and flipping them over when you landed on them, or something like that. I heard a little about it and it didn't really sound like fun.

Indeed there's a lost board game, I own it and it's pretty fun. You flip over tiles (exploring the island) and gain followers. If you're playing as Locke you win the game if the smoke monster is ever killed. The board game came out around season 3, but you can definitely make up some custom season 6 rules.

Guess I should have realized there was already a game. I think with the direction the show has taken since that game came out would make an incredible update or a completely new version.

On a semi-related note, do you think there will be an epic video game that comes out based on the entire mythology? That could be fun and also maybe involve trying to "win" the game as either Jacob, MIB, or maybe as one of the Losties also. Imagine one heavily involving time travel that could have many different endings depending on what you do and change.

There is a way to "win" as Sun (getting Ji Yeon and Jin all back together as family), as Sawyer getting self and friends off the island, Jacob keeping MIB on island at all costs, etc.
There used to be this game The Pandora Directive which your morality has a meter that goes from bad to good depending on the decisions you make (I'm sure there are a bunch of other games that do this too). That would lend itself pretty well to a Lost game as well.

Were the video games before like this at all? I have never played them.

What would your ideal piece of "media" that could come out after Lost is over, if you could choose anything?

There are going to be people who would love to have a "Lost" game where they could re-write the ending, as well as have answers to all of the questions ever posed in the show, like the food drops, for example.

I don't know the ending and haven't read any spoilers about it. With a show like this, I believe the evening of May 23rd & the entire day of May 24 will see a flood of people at The Fuselage. This forum is going to light up like patio lanterns, they are the stars in the sky, those patio lanterns lighting up our lives...

I love this idea, MI.

In saying that though, I think the game of Lost has been with us a long time - chess. Protect the King and capture the other side's pieces.
