View Full Version : it worked
spoops 04-06-2010, 10:48 PM this whole season i've been thinking what juliet said in the season premier, that "it worked" was going to be the key...
does this mean that she flashed to and from the alternate timeline like desmond?
LostLaura 04-06-2010, 10:50 PM YES. Near-death experiences, plus LOVE, equal consciousness travel between 'verses.
beema 04-06-2010, 10:50 PM That's what I've been thinking the whole time.
AuntBaboo89 04-06-2010, 10:54 PM Would Juliet hold up in the shed with the large donut things? Prob not, since she did die after a bit of CTT. And after all, Des is the "special one".
drdig 04-06-2010, 11:04 PM thats why she had that line about grabbing coffee and going dutch! she flashed to the atl timeline, where she was having coffee with sawyer, and when she flashed back, she didn't quite understand where she was. then, when she finally realized, she tried to tell sawyer that it worked.

That's all I could think about when Penny suggested coffee to Des...
I like this...
spoops 04-06-2010, 11:15 PM does flashing to alt timeline only apply to people nearly dying post hatch explosion?? did sayid say anything while he was almost dead? what about pre-hatch explosion? eko saw pretty much his whole life in the smoke monster before being killed by it...was some of that alt?

I thought it was vice versa?
Ralph C 04-09-2010, 08:46 PM "I like coffee."
seaquelost 04-09-2010, 08:54 PM I like coffee.
Me too. In fact, I'm having a cup right now.
I think Juliet crossed-over, yes.
Sayid told Miles that he had no near death experiences. This was said while they were at the Temple pool.
Along the same lines.....
Locke's last words, according to Flocke, "I don't understand". Was this in reference to a cross-over? Did he travel (as did Juliet) upon death to another world/life? Could be that his comment had nothing to do with Ben murdering him. Maybe he traveled to a life where his consciousness "woke-up" in a life where he's in a wheelchair waiting... as he watches Helen walk down the wedding isle towards him? Fanciful? Yes. Also fun to think about.
NathanielStarr 04-09-2010, 10:22 PM And the "ghosts" we've seen throughout the show are characters from the alt timeline crossing over.
-calypso- 04-10-2010, 04:07 AM thats why she had that line about grabbing coffee and going dutch! she flashed to the atl timeline, where she was having coffee with sawyer, and when she flashed back, she didn't quite understand where she was. then, when she finally realized, she tried to tell sawyer that it worked.
I agree with the she flashed to the alt timeline idea...but Juliet's point was to never have met Sawyer to never lose him so to me if she said "it worked" it means that in the alt she doesn't know Sawyer... she's having a coffee with someone else! Maybe Jack to discuss about David! Or Goodwin... or even better Ben!
