What's with all the head contusions in the past two eps?:

SUN hits the tree last ep, gets a contusion above her left eye
JIN gets hit, contusion above left eye.
CHARLES WIDMORE gets a cut above his left eye, thanks to DES,
and oddly,

ALT TIMELINE DESMOND has the pier jump in the car, gets a contusion above his right eye.
This makes me think of other head injuries, like Locke's trademark right eye slash in the Pilot, and Mikhail getting his right eye shot out. I'm sure there's many others.

Also, the eyes are common visual elements throughout Lost's run, especially considering the opening shot in the Pilot on Jack's eye.

This could form into a theory, but right now it is, alas, but a simple observation.

Thoughts?

I think its a great observation. Perhaps the Uncrashed815 is "bleeding" into the Crashed815?

Jokes. I dunno, but it's an interesting observation. I like the idea of the 'Uncrashed' bleeding into the 'Crashed' or maybe Darlton just have a think for smacking people in the head. It does happen a lot on LOST...

I don't think it was intended. I mean, I predicted that Mikhail would have his LEFT eye shot out rather than his right - but it turns out he lost his right eye in the ORIG, and in the ALT too.

Excellent observation! Also, last week I noticed that Jack had a scar or bloody mark above his left eye. It has to mean something. Someone on another thread pointed out Keamy's remark underscoring the cut on Jin's left forehead. The writers must want us to notice it. Of course, as usual, I have NO IDEA what it means, LOL.

My friend mentioned the head injuries as well. I don't know what it means but I did enjoy seeing Widmore get his.

What happens in the Island universe inevitably happens in the sideways. The circumstances might be differant, but universal course correction ensures the same result.

nice observations for sure, you're noticing details and clues to each of the "game pieces".

there is definately a pattern to the scars on the left and right side of the LOSTies, they do have meaning.

Its basically.....

-- Scars on the LEFT side of the character(Viewers rightside) denotes that the Character is on the LIGHT side, currently in one of thier LIGHT natured roles.

--Scars on the RIGHT side of the character (Viewers leftside) denotes that the Character is on the DARK side, and is currently in one of thier DARK natured roles.

I say this here because I would love to encourage "game clue" discussions, I know the writers are waiting on us.


btw, in the ALTiverse, anyone acting against the "current flow" of the ALTiverse is actually percieved to be DARK in that Universe, such as Desmond's scar above his Right eye.

Yeah, I've been noticing those head wounds, too. Poor Des, he's had enough physical harm to last 10 lifetimes. But Widmore - not going to shed a tear over his whoopin'. :mad:

Not sure what it all means just yet but it reminds me of the first two seasons when we saw our Losties with similar scratches on their faces.

I think they are giving Ben's face a rest in anticipation of his seasonal beat down so they have to spread the cuts around to the rest of the cast. :biggrin:

I fear for Ben. His face looks too good and he is wearing a clean shirt. That can't be good.
