is it not strange that we haven't actually seen smokey change into Locke, or vice versa?

We have previously seen smokey take on a persons face, when he met Eko for example, but it was still very much smokey.

it's be pretty blatent this series, smokey does something, disapears and then Locke walks round the corner, maybe appologising for people seeing him like that, but we have never seen the transformation, and in Lost, if you don't see it, it can't be believed.

they have the technology to make it happen, so either

1. it doesn't happen
2. revealling the transformation will give something away

opinions?

they have the technology to make it happen,

They might not have the time to make the CGI happen.

I think it is simply a time-and-cost saving measure. This season's production has looked pretty cheap, so they saved the big bucks for sunday's show.
