I haven't heard that rumor. Even if they answer two questions, but what questions will they be replaced with? ;D Things like is Danielle crazy, and what are the Others and do they even exist?

I thought I had read somewhere that JJ gave an interview saying most all of our questions would be answered by the end of the season.

But with that said it doesn't really leave much for season 2.

The finale's last 10 minutes focus on the numbers in a non-oblique way. The numbers bring people to the island; the larger myseter is: Why?
